We recently stayed four nights at the Burke Mountain Hotel and Conference Center for a wedding and were very disappointed. The room was nice but there was a layer of dust at least an inch thick on every surface. On the balcony of one family member's room there were empty beer bottles. There was half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and there was a box of tissues that had two in side of it, with no back ups in the room. When we arrived the person at the desk was not friendly or helpful. Two of the days the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. We were not informed on arrival that there would be no no service in rooms for the weekend so we had to go searching for toilet paper and kleenex that we found on a cart in one hallway. We had had an issue and I went to the check in area to get help and there was a sign saying they were off helping a guest and would be right back. I waited patiently for five minutes, the front desk clerk came back and greeted me. The phone rang, he answered it and proceeded for fifteen minutes to help the person on the phone before addressing my issue. I shouldn't have had to wait 20 minutes before being helped or even offered an apology for the long wait. We were charged a fifteen dollar resort fee and am not sure why. On Friday, the only nice day of the weekend, we went to use the pool around 11 am and it was locked up even though it said it was open 9AM to 10:00 PM. They had a skimmer running but no one ever checked on it even after it had shut off. We sat in the hot tub area till around 2 PM. The only place you could eat breakfast was in a cafeteria type setting with tables and backless stools just like when we were back in school. Around 9AM the fire alarm went off on our last day at least five times for about fourty-five seconds and then would stop. We had not informed that there would be work being done on it or if there was an issue with the alarm, nor was an apology given when we checked out. The hotel has a lot of potential but managment and staff need to get their acts together.

I will begin with what went well, although you may think with a 2 star review, not much! The room was clean and comfortable, the views spectacular, good TV and internet. The slope was well groomed and lift personnel were cordial and helpful. And last but not least, Shelley at the front desk, the last person we saw as we checked out a day early, who was very sweet- the only staff we encountered who seemed to comprehend customer service. But here’s what you may want to consider if you visit Burke. Not a place for beginners- we aren’t but you should know this. Under construction! Really under construction. Restaurant not open, but the bar is, Common areas unfinished, carpeting covered in plastic. Very unhelpful staff- 2 separate elevators for each wing- be advised- ask which wing you are in, they may not tell you. And let’s not forget the lack of professionalism at the rental shop at the base lodge. Sent out to the slopes with skis with bindings not adjusted to the boots. After figuring this out on the slope adjacent to the hotel, had to climb a hill with all the equipment, get in the car, drive back down to the base lodge, and get the bindings adjusted- no oops, apologies, nothing. All in all, a disappointment.

Heady Topper and Focal Banger are here! Small bar but ski right up to it, seems like a fun place.

Burke Mountain Hotel is a beautiful hotel set in gorgeous scenery. We stayed here in August 22 just a day or two after the Burke Enduro World Series Mountain Bike Event. I think the staff was worn out, but it didn’t stop them from being friendly. Lots of space to relax in and beds were comfortable. Food in the “View Pub” was delicious and they served us even though we arrived just before closing time. We were also treated to free dessert and had friendly conversations with the staff.

I stayed at The Burke Hotel & Resort during last weekend of June, 2022. The Hotel was far more than I expected! Spacious, clean, accommodating staff, awesome Pub and a delicious breakfast bar. The views are spectacular, especially if your room is in the front of Hotel with it's MILES of mountain and valley views. Rear room views are of the pool/hot tub area as well as the mid-mountain chairlift to the summit as well as a view of the summit. Burke Mtn. is one of the northeast's most favored mountain bike venues and has one of the most well-known ski schools in the Country. I stayed in a one bedroom suite, equipped with two flat screen TVs, gas fireplace and kitchen with various dishes and utensils, an in-room coffee maker and refrigerator. There are many spaces inside and outside of Hotel to just sit and relax. During my weekend one could look up at summit of Burke Mtn. to see several hang gliders soaring above the peak! As of the date of this review I will be headed back to Burke in 7 days! I gave (only) 4 stars due to inadequate parking close to Hotel. The walk from the overflow parking lot is no big deal but some could find this annoying.

The rooms at Burke Mountain Hotel are surprisingly nice and are a great deal! I've stayed here a few times and have always opted for the 1 or 2-bedroom suites because they come with a large living room and full kitchen. The hotel is a quick 7-minute drive from town where the main restaurants and bike trails are located, very convenient. The only downside to the hotel is that parking is very limited. There is only 1 row of parking directly next to the entrance. If those are full, you have a bit of a walk to the overflow lot. Checkout the The View pub on the 2nd or 3rd floor for a drink and a bite!

Superb staff, nice rooms, fantastic location. There are on-site restaurants that turn out some delicious food. The bars are lively and they serve some really good specialty cocktails. The Bees Knees was great (thanks Heath)! We were here for the 2022 Rasputitsa and they really took good care of all of the participants!

The apres scene has become another victim of the corporate take over and the Bear Den is one of the last unicorns. Your favorites are all on tap and served icy cold. And the fireplace and chili will keep you warm. Sit down and stay awhile who knows if this unicorn is here to stay. Super dog friendly!!!

We booked our family ski vacation (5 adults and one 3 year old) in this property. Location was perfect, room distribution was perfect (we reserved 2 units). The rate we took was the one with the lift included so that also was a plus as well. Pet friendly. Beds were amazing ?????? We went one night to the pub and it was good (service and food). The only main issue was that the units were not properly equipped for the amount of guests they claim each unit is for. We had to go to the reception every day for soap, toilet paper, towels and others. Also no cutlery, glasses, kitchen appliances and tools. Gladly we had to units so between the two we were able to adjust. Overall our experience was very good.

I'll start with from the from upper rooms, the Vermont mountain views are outstanding. The service, however, considering the hefty price for an empty hotel was a bit maddening. I was greeted by a no nonsense front desk attitude, far from friendly. I can see during ski season when you may be dealing with huge, and at times rowdy/demanding crowds to have a teflon exterior with guests, but the tude was tough to stomach considering we were paying close to $300. No extra blankets in a suite with a sleeper bed. Good luck finding a towel for the pool, and if you request one for your family they'll leave you just 2 to search for in the bathrooms. And while you're in the pool, you'll be greeted mostly by local pool crashers. It's as if the hotel summer guests are an after thought.

Sleek and modern, this resort is crowded even in the summer, with parking being a bit of an issue - if you don’t get one of the meager spots along the front of the hotel, you are relegated to a large nondescript lot down the mountain, quite a few steps beyond convenient. The lobby is attractive, with an open feel and a standard-fare gift shop. Views from the front, and from our room, were not spectacular but nice enough. Our room was large and of good overall quality. The bathroom featured laughably small bars of soap but was also stocked with good quality liquid bath products. The shower head was meh, offering several spray choices, none of which was satisfactory, ranging from bore-thru-your-skin razor water to a worthless mist. The bed was large and comfy, and we slept like babies. We needed a late checkout - just an hour would have sufficed - but were denied. The front desk clerk could have at least been nice about it but was unnecessarily surly. Who knows, maybe her nose ring was infected or something. Overall the resort feels contemporary and new, and would serve winter skiers nicely.

Fantastic Weekend with our Family of 6 at the Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center! Despite Covid-19, our stay was magical! The room was spacious for our family of 6 and immaculate upon check in. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Hotel Manager: Siobban, Jason and Micheal went out of their way to assist with everything from early check-in, ski locker access and additional towels and trash bags! All with a smile! The majestic mountain views, the yummy take out from the View Pub and ski in, ski out made our family weekend away even more special and easy! Can't wait for our next stay! We felt more than safe with all the Covid-19 precautions and guidance being followed by all the staff and hotel guests. Thank you Burke Mountain Hotel for a memorable ski vacation! The O'Neill Family will be back! <3

My experience started with an issue regarding my booking. It was TOTALLY my fault. The front desk made it so very easy to get cleared up with no hassle at all. Everyone on the staff has been exceptional. Very professional and very friendly. Customer service has been outstanding! The rooms are great and we love it! I highly recommend BMH&CC. I will definitely stay here again as long as the secret does not get out to too many people and they book up every room! Love the place and the people!

We absolutely love the Northeast Kingdom, and overall had a good stay here and appreciated that it was pet friendly ($25/day fee). The hotel has a bit of a corporate feel (think Hampton Inn meets Ski Lodge). Views are solid, but obstructed by trees in many areas; ask for a room on the highest floor possible. We were originally given a room with a huge balcony, but the fridge (which we needed) didn't work and we were forced to move after we had put away our stuff. We were given the same type of room, but with a much smaller balcony. Moving all our stuff was a bit annoying, and no discount for the inconvenience was given (I didn't ask for one, but it would have been a nice gesture.) All property restaurants and cafes were closed during the week due to COVID, so you need to head into town for any food (no big deal though as there are many great places to eat nearby). The pool was nice, but the hot tub had almost no pressure; it was more like just sitting in a hot bath tub. This hotel has also joined in with many other places by charging a "resort fee" for, well, I'm not really sure what. Be sure to take the toll road up the mountain for some amazing views, and climb the fire tower at the top. Also, a summer's day splashing and lounging on the beach on Lake Willoughby is one you won't soon forget.
