“If you are looking for a laid back vibe, good beers, good people, and good times then Mike's Tiki Bar is a great place to be.This is a Happy Place, with Happy People. The staff are awesome and friendly even on the busiest of days. There are 30 reasonably priced beers on tap, plus a variety of canned and bottled beers, plenty of local and regional craft beers, domestic beers, seltzers, cocktails, non-alcohol beers and other non-alcohol beverage alternatives as well. This seasonal, outdoor only bar, seats plenty of people and is a great place to hang with old friends or to make new ones. This place has got it going on, with a unique combination of visitors from all over the country, and plenty of visitors from our friendly neighbors to the north in Canada as well, it is a truly enjoyable place to spend your time drinking your favorite beverage.Mike's Tiki Bar is located in the heart of what could arguably be called the mountain biking capital of New England, East Burke Vermont, home of the KINGDOM TRAILS. There is a large parking area that provides plenty of space for patrons, as well as a FREE place to park with easy access to the Kingdom Trail network. The VIBE....Like I said the vibe is laid back, but maybe that doesn't say enough. AWESOME is more the word to use here. The combination of people from everywhere, the locals, the mountain bikers (and there are a ton of them) and people from every place in between, just make for a very enjoyable atmosphere. You will hear laughter and stories from the day's riding adventures and you will see (and smell) mud covered mountain bikers with ear to ear grins on their faces as they sip on a beverage. You might even run into a guy with a mangled, broken arm that just got off the trail and should be heading to the hospital, stop in to have a beer first and tell his tale of the day, before his friends pack him up and bring him to the hospital. Seriously, this actually happened. That arm was so broken it was pointing in 3 different directions and flopping all over the place. The Food Situation: There are two food trucks there, a pizza truck and a tamale truck that has burgers, tamales, burritos and more. Good basic food to fill your belly and soak up some of that alcohol. Don't expect gourmet food here if that is what you are into, just good eats to fill your belly. Shockingly, on a busy day the Tamale truck can run out of Tamales once in a while (oh no) ? Have no fear though, there will almost always be something else available for food. The Parking: Well as I mentioned there is parking for bar customers as well as FREE parking for the Kingdom trails provided by none other than Mike himself. The parking lot can be quite a scene itself on a busy weekend with some of the coolest vans and van life people you may ever see or meet.Showers available on site as well to rinse off that mud and dirt.Vibe: AwesomeBeer: BEERVANAEntertainment: Live bands most weekendNow all this being said, is there anything bad...well not that much, but if you are looking for a place to charge your electric car just remember that this is a bar, not a charging station, so plan accordingly. They also don't have fuel pumps on site either so you won't be able to fill your gas tank up at the bar.Sometimes things get so busy in town that cell and internet services may go down briefly on very, very rare occasions. So there could be a period of time where you can't access your phone, (god forbid right), though you will probably be so busy enjoying yourself with old friends and new that you might actually not even notice. It may also get so busy that you might have to wait to get your beer....oh no. ?Also, If you are a self entitled person that feels the need to be rude to staff and thinks the world revolves around you, then be ready to have it given right back to you, as "notoriously cheap" Vermonters aren't ones to coddle you or cater to your bad attitude.Seriously, if you come here and don't have fun I feel truly sorry for you.... truly truly trulyNow time for a”
“Monday afternoon stop. Lower lodge was a zoo with parents camping one to a table. ? So we headed here for some food. Great location, but, unfortunately, not much of a selection.”
“Cute little spot that offers coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. The sandwiches are all premade but if you have a dietary restriction (dairy, gluten, no meat) they will make a sandwich for you. The baked goods were delicious as well! Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, good food!”
“We stopped for roadtrip sweet snacks. The oatmeal cream pie and the maple muffin were the stars. Wish we would've gotten two of the oatmeal cream pies. lol! We also got death by chocolate which was great but needs eaten as soon as you buy it to keep the crunchy texture. Super friendly folks and great experience.”
“Burke Mountain Hotel is a beautiful hotel set in gorgeous scenery. We stayed here in August 22 just a day or two after the Burke Enduro World Series Mountain Bike Event. I think the staff was worn out, but it didn’t stop them from being friendly. Lots of space to relax in and beds were comfortable. Food in the “View Pub” was delicious and they served us even though we arrived just before closing time. We were also treated to free dessert and had friendly conversations with the staff.”
“We would go back. But we misunderstood that circle cut steak or sliced steak (not sure the exact wording and can't find it on the menu online) was hamburger patty and the strawberries for pancakes were not fresh but frozen.”
“Great little deli in downtown Lyndonville, VT. Fresh sliced meats and cheeses. Fresh produce. And delicious bread that appeared to be baked in house. We tried the Italian sub, the roasted turkey sandwich. They were both delicious and filling!Dietary restrictions: There was a sign that said gluten-free bread available, but I did not inquire about it.Kid-friendliness: The chalkboard menu had a kids special listed, I don't recall the details, though.”
“It’s a small town, with multiple pizza places, but this place is the best one. The owners are super friendly and conversational. Place is super clean. The pizza is phenomenal, it’s how pizza is supposed to be.I order out multiple times a month and the food/service is always top notch.”
“Great brewery! Offers pizza and a wide selection of beers and even wine and cocktails in cans. Good spot in Vermont! Definitely recommend if you're in the area. Staff is always very friendly and prices are average.”
“It's a great place to go after a long day of riding or work .food was tasty and good .the atmosphere really was good ?.Parking: It's fine and you can park on the lot next to the main lot same walk distance if need be .”
“First time eating here. Went for Valentines Day. Drinks were great. Lobster Bisque was wonderful. Both of our entrees were delicious, and desserts were fabulous. Very attentive service as well. Will definitely be back again.”
“We decided to go out for Thanksgiving dinner this year. My wife did a quick web search and found Wildflower Inn, and we are really glad she did. The restaurant is smallish but staff and food was excellent. T'giving specials were great, turkey dinner was perfect ! See you next year !”
“The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. It is a totally chill, river vibe. Everyone is laid back, friendly outdoorsy folk. Further the smoothies are delicious and the the servers friendly. A full bar with this restaurant, and street tacos to boot. It's family friendly chill, with kids and dogs hanging with you as well. I came single and had a blast, as much as those with big groups and small families. For trail riders, you can even park your bike at the bike rack in back near the seating and everyone respects personal property, so no worries.I think I found my new hangout.Update: 9/19/2023. I have now been there 3 times. What shocks me the most is that with all the people going through this place, I was remembered. The second thing I loved is the consistency in food. My green goddess smoothie was just as good this time as it was the last. Oh and the grill cheese is PERFECTION!!!! For the hungry, but wants to feel like they are being "healthy", have the Greek bowl. It was perfect!Sooo definitely my hangout spot now. The live music was perfect, too.Parking: While there is plenty of parking, be mindful about your space so you don't take 2 spots accidentally.Kid-friendliness: This is 100% family friendly. Kids run around safely near you. It's a relaxed place and people bring their dogs as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp leading to the upper sitting area and you will need good outdoor tires if coming from the other side.”
“Carmen's Ice cream may be the best I've ever had and I have been eating ice cream for 65 years often. It is located in the Roadhouse which is a treat in itself. I”
“Great food and great beer served by great people. The view is gorgeous. We were the only customers for some time but everybody was very nice and the food was delicious. The curry bowl was delicious and the brussel sprouts were nicely roasted with a bit of char which went nicely with the interesting sauce.”
“WOW! My boyfriend and I went in second time as we were in the area. We ordered the Pork Belly app, Fried Pickles and Pot Stickers. For dinner we had the Meatloaf and Burger. Everything was spectacular, and that is not exaggerated. The lady who was waiting on us was extremely pleasant and gracious, and the atmosphere was lovely as well. Will definitely return when back in Burke. Keep up the good work guys!!! We love your place <3”
“The food was delicious. I had a barbecue bacon burger that was delicious.Parking: There was plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: You might need someone to help with the doors, but it was pretty easy to move around.”
“I took my staff here for our Christmas party. The team here not only accommodated our party of 25 but also had the best wait staff I've ever had! They were friendly, understanding, and you could tell they really loved their jobs. It's always a good time going in there the food is always stellar! A+ every time!Kid-friendliness: They were awesome with engaging with the sole toddler in our group. He was so happy he told the girls he loved them this much! As he stretched his little arms out has far as he could go.”
“This is my go to in Lyndonville for pizza and burgers. The unique pizzas (NEK or Spicy Spinach) are amazing. The Hawaiian has just the right ingredients (although if you are a fan of pineapple, you may want to ask for extra). The sauce is delicious. Then the hamburger is just the right amount of tasty along with the spicy fries. Great combo. Finally the Caesar Salad dressing is one of the best I have had. I do highly recommend the Pizza Man.”
“Fast Food with customization and healthy options. Drive thruOrder Ahead Counter ServiceDid not expect to find this in the area. Super cool to learn it's the home of the original Bag Balm Factory. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for lighter fast food options. Never heard of this chain before but I was impressed. Fresh food and great portions. Customization by size. With containers on the wall so you know EXACTLY the size you receive. Service was fast and polite. Just what you want for a quick lunch break. The atmosphere was also very cute. Super clean and inviting with house plants and memorabilia. I will return again!”
“Best Chinese I've yet to find! I travel HOURS to eat here. Amy was the owner, now it's someone else. They all seem nice, always smiling and respectful, goes a long way in life and that's how you get business! Good job guys, keep up the good work!! Food is cheap too and always fresh!”
“Bravo, thank you to the person that made my sub tonight. It was the best Subway i have ever had. With the change in the menu on the app, i got my sub my way. Thank you. You did a fantastic job. ???”
“Best Chinese food in the area! The food and vegetables were very fresh and hot. We had the beef with broccoli and the pineapple chicken plus the fried rice. Very delicious. ?”
“Cute little shop with lots of health food options and locally made goodies. Not the type of cafe we were looking for, but looked like lots of tasty options were available.”
“Dunkin Donuts is a New England staple! Although I prefer the other company's coffee, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about DD! My favorite drink is the caramel Macchiato with a shot of espresso...so stinking good!”
“Despite the dining room area being closed at 8:00pm (staffing?) The food was FRESH and HOT and the drive-thru line moved quickly.. couldn't ask for much more... ?”
“Heaven on earth in East Burke. We have family in East Burke, and Auntie Dee Dees is the go-to on Sunday mornings for fabulous pastries and all kinds of breakfast/brunch treats. Call ahead and order. You still may have to wait in line a bit because it's a small shop, but worth it.”
