This food truck bus serves very American fare. It's not bad, it's just very predictable.

💛Beansie’s Bus –🚍
Burlington’s Rolling Legend!

I’ve been pulling up to this glorious yellow bus for over 20 years now, and let me tell you—Beansie’s isn’t just a food stop, it’s a full-on Burlington rite of passage.

First off, if you haven’t had their Special Fries, 🍟I need you to reevaluate your entire life. Golden, cut perfection, drowning in a magical medley of oil, salt, and joy. It’s basically a Vermont poutine made by someone who once shook hands with Elvis and then blessed a fryer.

And the burgers?🍔 Oh, friend. These aren’t your fancy gastropub “stacked with microgreens and existential crisis” burgers. Nope. These are honest, delicious, perfectly greasy burgers that taste like childhood summers, skipping stones, and that one time you almost bought a canoe. They wrap ‘em up like little greasy gifts, and every bite tastes like freedom.

Service? Top notch. The folks working the window are faster than a Bernie meme in January and friendlier than your Aunt Barb after two mimosas. You’ll hear a few “hons,” “sweeties,” and maybe even get a wink if you order like a local (hint: say “extra sauce” with confidence).

Now, yes—the prices have crept up a bit over the years. You won’t get change back from a $5 like it’s 1999 anymore. But let’s be real: this is a local legend on four wheels with no air conditioning, slinging burgers and fries in 90-degree heat with a line that rivals the DMV on free coffee day. You’re not just paying for food—you’re paying for history, for ambiance, and for not cooking during July in Vermont. Worth. Every. Penny.

Oh, and Creamees? 🍦 Listen, if you haven’t had a creamee here on a sticky summer day with your kids’ faces covered in chocolate like adorable raccoons, did you even summer? I’d rank their maple creamee up there with swimming in Lake Champlain, sneaking in a Phish show, and finding parking downtown as the top 4 Burlington miracles.

So yeah—bring your kids, bring your friends, bring your inner child who remembers when a burger, fries, and a creamee were the holy trinity of happiness. Beansie’s Bus is a rolling nostalgia machine that tastes like love, summer, and a little bit of ketchup.

Pro tip: Sit on the grass, kick off your shoes, and let the seagulls judge you for licking cheese off your fingers. They’re just jealous.

Beansie’s, I’ll see you next summer. And the one after that. And the one after that, until you pry the special fries from my sauce-stained hands. 🍔🍟🍦

Stopped by this week for the first time ever after my coworkers told me it was a ‘can’t miss spot’. It was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had in Burlington. Food was excellent (don’t sleep on the Georgia Burger, it’s worth the hype), value was spot on for the food, and plenty of parking. Service was extremely kind and speedy. 10/10 recommend

Even though it is a cloudy and rainy day. Battery Park was a good spot to enjoy some of Beansie’s amazing fries. Definitely the best in Burlington. Shared a large, it was plenty big enough. Thank you for all the years!

Service was very quick although there although not many people in line. In the range of 7.50 for a double cheeseburger thats akin to a mcdonalds double cheese in size but less juicy or tasty and clearly of a lower quality for a higher price. For a Michigan burger double cheese and two sodas in came out to almost 18 dollars. Not worth a visit
