Was pleasantly surprised by Butter Bar! There were fewer options on the menu than I anticipated but we were pleased to see so many gluten free and vegetarian options as neither of us eat red meat. We ordered the artichoke dip which came with house made corn chips - this was a creamy and crunchy masterpiece. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the meat was on the thinner side but was incredible. Almost no fatty bits and the meat was juicy and tender - cooked perfectly. The bun it was on was also expertly crafted. I got onion rings and a Young at Heart ginger beer which is one of my favorite local businesses- glad this place has so many local VT offerings! My partner got the kale caesar salad which was amazing! And we were honestly both blown away by the quality. This is a great spot and awesome it is so close by. The wait staff were speedy and kind and the drink and dessert menu was extensive. We finished the Valentines evening off with a piece of delicious vanilla cheesecake and were surprised by how fair the bill was - less than 25 bucks a person for all that food!! Thank you Butter Bar, for a great dinner and experience!Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF items!
First time visit. Everything was tasty. Drinks were fantastic. I felt cocktails were affordable and good. The Golden French Toast was delicious. To make it a complete meal if you have a big appetite order a side. Loved the veggie bennys. Add side of veggie sausage! Clean plates, satisfied tummies. NNE is out of our way but we will be back. Hope they continue!Vegetarian options: Veggie sausage, veggie bennys with vegan options for brunch. Golden french toast. I assume they have milk alternatives for lattes I didn’t ask.

Female behind the bar was very friendly, helpful, and had great recommendations. Food was pretty good. Drinks were pretty watered down.
Not much of a selection for food. Fries were extremely salty and burger was on the small side for $15.00. The tomato soup had spices in it that just didn't belong in it. The seating is a cramped if you have more than 4 people. The staff is great and service was great although not liking the food much. I won't tell people not to go there, it's just not for my family.

Butter Bar did a fantastic job hosting my company for a party. The staff were a bunch of rockstars, working furiously to keep everyone's drinks full and the food spread stocked. Special requests were responded to promptly. All of the food was delicious, and we sampled many of the items on the menu. Carina was great to work with, and helped us put together an excellent spread for the budget we requested. Everyone had a wonderful time. We will definitely consider Butter Bar & Kitchen again for future company gatherings.
$17 for a sandwich as small as a slider with boring greasy fries. Chocolate layer cake was dry. Brussels sprouts app were a bright spot but still would not recommend.

Butter Bar is a gem of a local spot with delicious local and seasonal foods. A+ for thoughtful vegetarian and vegan options. Plenty to love for the meat eaters as well. Family friendly. Great life shows as well.
