The most pretentious menu ever. Sparse. Unappealing. Over priced. Such a lovely room, but not enough to make me stay. We finished our lovely but overpriced glasses of wine & left. The store. The European salts, chocolates, mustards - most without prices- I could get in Toronto for much less. Why not showcase the wonderful Vermont cheeses, chocolate & condiments

The atmosphere is top notch. The salesmanship can't even be called that. It's more like advising. We explained what we were looking for and we got hyper-tailored, no pressure suggestions. They did not disappoint.
Normally they need more time to prepare a charcuterie board, but as explained, we were traveling and didn't have that time. They took care of us.
It was, bar none, the best wine shop experience I've ever, and probably will ever, have. Not pushy, deep knowledge of their offerings, and friendly service.
This should be the new standard experience offered by all wine stores.

Went here to celebrate a birthday dinner with my boyfriend and we are both very disappointed. Food took 90 minutes to come out and the place was not busy at all. We ordered 10 min after sitting down, and didn’t get our food until we were absolutely starved. Our waitress spent 15 minutes petting the dog next to our table instead of checking on the other tables. We were really excited for the food after reading the reviews, however it was very mediocre food. We got the octopus and tagliatelle as our mains and it was under flavored and bland. We felt like we could’ve gotten something that tasted similar for less than half the price at a different restaurant. The wine we got was also mediocre - good for a few sips but we didn’t finish them. We stopped at a different place for food after finishing here because after spending $135, we were still starved and looking for something that had flavor.

What an amazing place!! We are so happy to have enjoyed the best lunch here on our most recent trip to Burlington. Dedalus is going to be a must visit moving forward! Bridge was our super kind server, and we loved trying multiple half glasses of delicious wine based on her suggestions! The meat cheese caviar etc etc was all delicious. Seriously awesome place and we cant wait to return!

People don’t think of Dedalus as a go-to for great restaurant experiences in the Burlington area but they really should: though it’s a small menu, it changes regularly and offers some of the best dishes you’ll find anywhere. When you add in the extensive and high-quality wine options, cheese, and charcuterie, knowledgeable friendly staff, and a very comfortable dining area, you have a stand-out winner for everything from a great date-night venue, to group get-together.
