I have been going to Dobra Tea for at least 3 years now. It is my little get away and place I like to meet people to sit, relax and chat. I enjoy the atmosphere and floor seating especially.
The tea menu is wonderful, and it is always fun trying a new tea. Some reviews will say the teas are pricey, however I find them comparable to what one would pay for on average at a coffee house.
The owner, who is the main tea maker, is very informative. However, she also tends to be busy, so be patient.
As others mention, this place closes whenever it wants without informing anyone. I showed up at 5 pm on a day they are listed as open until 7 pm and paid to park, only to walk up to the store and there’s a closed sign. The last time I visited the owner/workers were very rude. They acted annoyed by people being there and wanting to place orders. They acted bothered by questions and were out of half the options.
Lee adds tips without consulting the customer. Not only is this illegal, but it’s really dishonest. Recently, she added a 10$ tip to a 30 some dollar order. That’s 20-25% and there’s no table service. You just walk to the counter and grab the food.
I support women owned business and the space is a gem, but Lee do better. Dishonesty isn’t ok.
Unique place that offers true tea. Excellent service.
not open when they say, not worth making a trip to check it out if you don’t know when it’s open.
Went in to pick up some loose leaf tea and oh brother what a trip. The lady behind the counter couldn’t have been worse. She was basically repelling us and other customers. After 20 mins of discovering they didn’t have half of the menu, and that she didn’t want to make any effort to sell anything, we went to city market across the street for more local loose leaf tea options and at a better price.
I went here for the first time with some friends. We stayed for hours talking over our tea. There is an extensive list of teas of different varieties...
Black, white, oolong, chais, herbals, etc. I had one of their spiced chais and was not disappointed. They also have some great treats, both sweet and savory. A lovely little gem of a tea house.

They took 20% tip from my card without my permission.
Stopped in for a masala hot chai. Price was too high in my opinion. Was charged $9.34 just for that one small beverage. A tip was added to my card that I did not authorize as well.
Chai wasn’t even very good, though that could be a personal taste issue. Not very spicy or sweet. Lacking flavor.
I love the atmosphere and floor seating. The tea and desserts is a bit pricey but the desserts are pretty good and there is a wide range of tea. There is no service so you cannot work here because it’s a tech free zone.
The owner (or worker) was off from the moment we walked in. When we ordered she was out of two of our things and one of our items was still being made despite them being open for over an hour already. When I asked for recommendations she seemed a little annoyed and pointed back to the menu for me to read the teas. Our tea and food was good as well as the ambiance but the worker was just really uptight and almost pretentious like we were too dumb to be there. We thought it was just us but she was odd to other guests too. I also think she added a tip herself since there was no option for us to tip and our bill was a little extra!
Food and tea was good, the person running the front was a bit off putting, hopefully they were just having a bad day.
