Visited Kru during a recent visit to Burlington. The food was decent. Coffee and espresso drinks weren't the greatest, but were competently made and very drinkable. We had a ham and cheese croissant–probably the best food item. Not a lot of ham, and only a small slice of cheese, but the croissant was perfect. The strawberry muffin was meh...barely any strawberries. A little on the dry side.
As far as atmosphere, it was quiet–college students were in there working on laptops or talking quietly.
Overall, a slightly better than average experience.

I love Kru Coffee's Matcha latte! It has the perfect sweetness and it actually tastes like matcha rather than milk. Its hard for me to trust american cafes that sell matcha because it's always a hit or a miss. This has definitely become one of my go-to matcha places in vermont! the atmosphere is rly nice too it's pretty cozy. I have yet to try other stuff from there though.
Kru is great. The best part about it is the ambiance, especially in the winter. Coffee is pricey but not ridiculous. I've been quite a bit and never had any memorably great service, but never any bad experiences either. It is the best when someone's playing the piano.

the atmosphere is so calming and welcoming, you can just take a step in and feel relaxed. The pastries look so good and I can always go for a croissant and tea, I do think their drinks lack a little but overall just a great place to go into.
