Oh my gosh those scones!!! The whole experience at Kru was great, the staff was friendly, the matcha was creamy, and the food options were plentiful! I opted for a spinach and feta scone and a cheddar scone, both were so so good! The staff assumes you’re dining in instead of taking coffee to go which to me really demonstrates the experience and atmosphere they are trying to create. I loved it!

Very airy and spacious, this cafe is perfectly situated on one of the town’s busiest corners and benefits from lots of sunlight. The views onto the streets make it feel like Burlington has a cosmopolitan buzz! The space used to be upscale clothing shops and the ornate ceiling and old fashioned columns inside add a classy but still funky vibe. There is a wide choice of seating styles, from semi livingroom feel to lounge to study to window seating.Their daily drip coffees are excellent and smooth, truly several steps up most every other place in town (save for the few coffee specialists) and the food menu has several gems - even the avocado toast (usually an item that makes one cringe when considering the price paid for it) is inventive, satisfying and beautifully presented. The Smokey and the Biscuit is likely the king though, possibly the best breakfast sandwich around (and thanks to them for extending the time boundary of breakfast to 1pm).That said, other items could use a fresh review - the hot chocolate tasted overly sweet and not of fine grade chocolate, and their dessert/pastry offerings are uninventive and not tempting, generic. The place is mostly busy throughout the day, and it’s nice to feel an urban buzz in Burlington! Overall a super pleasant experience.

Great spot! Wonderful, tasty breakfast items and solid coffee. Wish we had a hearty knife for the avocado toast. Wonderful that the utensils were biodegradable but the fork broke trying to cut through the bread.

Had the drip coffee and the cardi bee latte. One of the best tasting coffees I’ve had in a while with an enjoyable table and very attentive staff. Would highly recommend again, and an amazing selection of merch.

From Puerto Rico working.. Love the music, the coffee, and the bathrooms are very clean..
Whether you want a good cuppa Joe while walking shopping in downtown Burlington, or a cool little spot to hang, read or study--Kru serves all those purposes. Loved the vibe of the shop, the beans were perfectly roasted and full of flavor, and I had my selection of outdoor / indoor seating. Super friendly baristas from ordering to pickup. Probably one of the bigger coffee shops right off the main strip. I would definitely recommend.

Came here to start our first full day in Burlington, VT! Great vibe as soon as you walk in the place! Merchandise for the shop is displayed where you walk in. There is a cool color-lit coffee cup wall. A very modern look with a homey feel! We were even lucky enough to have someone play the piano in the corner of the shop.Dietary restrictions: Alternative milks available here!

Kru is basically the first place you see when arriving on Church street, and you might be tempted to think 'oh let's go see what there is further'.... Don't! It's the best coffee in the area! Grab something to go and amble down the street with your delicious drink ☺️
