The girlfriend and I were there for our date night and the food was spectacular. Great service, very accommodating! Definitely worth the money. Would go back for sure! The wife said that Filet Mignon was all that!!

We've enjoyed Leunig's many times, and will continue to do so as the food is good and the wine selection is excellent. Our recent meal was, in our experience @ Leunig's, a bit below their par. Both of the dishes we ordered were overcooked (salmon well, when med rare was advised and asked; petit filet well done, when med rare was requested). I suspect that the items simply sat under the warmer too long awaiting pickup, as the restaurant seemed short-staffed - not unusual for a Monday night. The fries were perfect, though, and the wine we had, a French Chardonnay, was delicious and came out quickly. My one real gripe, not unique to Leunig's but seemingly typical for Burlington, was the suggested tip rates being based on the total bill, INCLUDING THE TAX. At least they are not adding a service "cost-of-living" surcharge that we see in California. If the cost is that great, they should simply increase the prices to cover what the waitstaff needs to make. We'll be back, but probably for lunch next time. ATBster

Wow, I was expecting more from this restaurant. We sat outside, which was pleasant. Our food was served around 5 minutes after we ordered, and was not hot, so obviously not even partially cooked to order. Salmon and spinach were well-cooked, if not recently so, but the basil mashed potatoes were basically just a pile of lukewarm, vividly green potatoes with very little flavor. There was no salt on the table, and the server didn't stop by to see how the food was until we had finished everything else. When I told him the potatoes were lukewarm and undersalted, he didn't say anything; didn't offer to do anything to fix them or make things right, just cleared the plate. I did have room for dessert, since I hadn't eaten the full meal, and ordered the molten chocolate cake. Surprise, it was... again, tasty, but not remotely molten. At fine dining prices, I would have expected freshly cooked food and MUCH better service.

Outstanding experience. The server couldn't have been any better. I left my mobile at the table and he chased us halfway down Church Street to bring it to me. And his service at the table was equally impressive. The food was amazing. I'll be back soon and often!

We ate outside which was terrific! Quiet enough to talk and enjoy each other and delish dinner. Also great people watching on Church Street!

We ate outside and the experience was outstanding because young musicians from the Green Mt chamber Music Festival were playing as a string quartet on the other side of the street. Totally lovely, especially with the lights in the trees as the evening darkened. So glad we didn't stay inside! The food and service were quite good, as usual. Leuig's is a Burlington institution for good reason.

We made a reservation which was clearly not needed. We set inside expecting my better service. Our waitress promised us three separate times that our food was out soon. Our entrees took 45 minutes from when they removed our appetizers till we got our main courses. Other tables came and left and we waited having ordered straight off the menu. Our waitress never came to us again. We had to ask the bartender for the bill so we could leave. We could never order more wine or dessert because she never came again. In spite of this we still left her a tip but we honestly should not have. No manager ever came to talk to us about our food taking so long. No one offered any explanation nor any accommodation and as I said we had to ask the bartender to get our bill. He came to us and gave us our bill and tabbed us out as our waitress chatted with a customer dining alone who came after us and was already done eating and our waiting was so packing up this customers food table side.

Never disappoints-even with new owners. Menu has changed but offers breakfast items at lunch along with old favorites.

Sadly, we were pretty disappointed with our meal at Leunig's this past weekend. Leunig's has been a favorite restaurant of ours, but this latest meal was lacking in both quality and taste. We had the Lobster Elote Salad, which was surprisingly unimpressive - not much flavor despite being covered in cheese, the lobster itself felt like an afterthought, and the lettuce did not seem especially fresh. We had the Short Rib Poutine, which was pretty good and honestly probably the best part of the meal. I got the Cavatappi Carbonara - the peas seemed to have been both frozen and then over cooked, and the dish as a whole was OK but definitely not something I would order again. My partner got the Cornmeal Crusted Statler Chicken Breast - which again, was OK but under seasoned and fairly boring. We are hoping this was a one-off as this meal was of much poorer quality than we have had in the past at Leunig's.

Leunig's has always been a reliable place to dine, no matter the time and season - very pleasant to sit outside as well as inside. We love the upstairs bar area to have supper!

I was served sirloin tip that they passed of as filet mignon. And the tip was not very good. Not good guys. The asparagus and tomato salad was delicious. Service was great. I've had fabulous meals there before. But this was disappointing

Fantastic lunch here with great people watching out the window! The highlight was the green curry coconut mussels which was outstanding!

Had an early reservation here and got a great seat inside with the windows open due to good weather. Ivy our server was attentive and unobtrusive giving us the perfect amount of contact. The starters we had were escargot and lobster bites. Both delicious. We had a seafood risotto and filet mignon for entrees both were also excellent and a peanut butter dessert. Great rose bubbles to start and wine with the entrees. All in all a very positive and pleasant experience.
