My son and I ate here Easter night. It was FABULOUS! It had a very cool vibe and the people working there were outstanding, so friendly. Our server, forgot her name (SORRY), was terrific. Great suggestions, attentive but not overly so. The owner Matt was just as nice. Introduced himself, wanted to know how everything was, and thanked us for stopping in. But most importantly - the food and drink. WOW. We were both starving and hadn't eaten all day,so we shared many small plates.....bread, the Basket of French Fries - Melt-em-down, the ham plate, chilled beets and mushroom tartine. All terrific, but we both said the mushroom tartine was our favorite. We ordered potato gnocchi and arctic char for our dinners. Amazing. For the amount of food we ordered, we weren't stuffed, as the portions were just the right size. The arctic char had a maple beurre blanc sauce that was out of this world, so good, I used a spoon to make sure I got every drop! We shared a smallish scoop of pistachio ice cream layered with chocolate chards - just the right size for a sweet bite after dinner. All in all, one of the best restaurants I've been to in while, anywhere, but definitely the best in Burlington. Oh, and the cocktails......divine! Thank you! Can't wait to come back.

Not only was the food unique and fresh, the cocktails were innovative, the atmosphere and ambiance was cozy/welcoming/vibey and the service was spot on. You can tell every aspect is well thought out and the crew seems well trained. Each crew member was courteous, thoughtful and we NEVER felt like we were being rushed - it truly felt as if they all wanted us to enjoy every single second we spent there. 10/10 recommend.

Mayday is the best. Don’t miss out. Every meal I’ve ever had here has been incredible, doubly so since they got the new head chef. The service is impeccable, and the cocktails are on point. A top ten spot for me, worldwide. I had their skate cheeks last night with kimchi and the flavor explosion was just incredible. And the smores mille-feuille…damnnnnnn.

May Day is always a 10/10 experience. It’s my partners and my favorite date night spot. We always get treated with the upmost hospitality and the food always hits the spot. Their cocktails are delicious and their wine list is one of the best in Burlington. So much love for these guys ❤️ can’t recommend enough!

Delicious, beautifully prepared food. Innovative combinations. Great cocktails. I like the friendly atmosphere, cozy somewhat small room. Fun music choices too. I had several small plates in addition to the oysters. Beets, skate, steak tartare, salad. All tasty! I have to go back and try some of the more substantial meals.

10/10 recommend! My husband wanted to come here because of the chefs histories/award, and so glad we did! We ended up doing a family style and the 4 of us shared everything. The beets were amazing (and not something I would have ever gotten if it were just me - but I'll 100% be craving these!!). We got all 3 available large dishes, the swordfish was my least favorite the red pepper base and olives werent a harmonious blend for my palette, but everyone else i was with liked it! The drinks were awesome, and they had reasonably priced wine bottles for purchase if you wanted to go that route. The recommended wine based on our described preferences was perfection! We got a dessert, and what a sweet surprise it was that they brought it out with a lit candle, recalling we came for my husband's birthday!It was worth the indulgence.My only gripe/request is to bring the goat shirts back online so I can order it in a large ???

Just moved into the neighborhood and decided to check out some local spots. Went solo and sat at the bar where I was greeted by John who gave me some great recommendations. I was pretty hungry and I like to try a variety of things on a first visit so I went with the ricotta gnocchi and the patty melt. Both were phenomenal. Service was friendly and great. Very cool vibe. I’ll be back again and again.
