I am confused about a few things.
There is no food menu, no website menu or QR code menu. Only menu is drinks at the front of the door. We came in and waited for some time to figure out we needed to go to the front š
Place is super kid friendly š books š drawing activitiesā bravo! š
We came here for breakfast as we saw nice pictures on google, we where disappointed when we realized there was no food menu.
Maybe locals know how to order and we donāt.
I recommend a qr code menu or website or print at table. That would of been less confusing us visitors.
Drinks was nice.

I have been to this location on multiple occasions. On at least two visits the barista who is there in the afternoon has been incredibly rude to me. I've observed similar situations with other customer interactions, too. I make it a point to be kind to service staff and always tip, as I have held many similar positions and understand how difficult it can be to work in these roles and interact with a wide array of customers who may not always be so pleasant.
This barista made me feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, scoffed at me multiple times, and never offered any pleasantries, not even a thank you. I hope they have better days in the future for their own sake. I will not be returning to this coffee shop.
Their baked goods are tasty, but their drinks are mediocre at best. They don't use any alternative milks that are made for espresso drinks (ie. barista blend) so the dairy free drinks always end up flat. Their other drinks like the london fog and chai are quite tasteless. I'm especially unimpressed for nearly $5 a drink + tip.

Nomad was excellent! The croissants were so fluffy I wanted to die! I went out on a limb to try a creamsicle iced latte and it was superb! Happy we stopped in here!
Kid-friendliness: There was a kids section with books and toys!

By far the worst customer service Iāve experienced at a coffee shop in Burlington. I ordered a cappuccino and it was extremely hot to the point it burned my mouth. I politely asked the barista to make a new one that was less hot. He gave me attitude, and carelessly made me a new drink with a terrible shot and terrible milk texture to be spiteful.
I would not recommend ordering any espresso drink from this barista.

Hands down my favorite local coffee shop in Burlington (Scout on Pine and Kestrel on Maple being close runners up).
Located in a 100+ year old brick building that was once a chocolate factory, Nomad has perfect coffee shop vibes, delicious pastries made in house, tasty drinks and always friendly staff.
Thereās lots of seating for every mood - whether youāre there for a meet cute, a study session or simply to sit and enjoy the atmosphere with your coffee. Thereās a lovely little outdoor seating area out back which is a nice spot between two old brick buildings and catches some sun in the morning. The rear entrance is also accessible with a ramp from the parking area.
If you come at peak times the place is bustling and the line can be long, but the wait isnāt and itās well worth it. Visit on a Saturday or Sunday morning and sample the Kouign Amann - a deliciously unique pastry with a flaky, crunchy, sugary crust and a soft delicious fluffy center. Enjoy the rotating art exhibits in the long gallery entrance, or take your coffee to go and stroll just a few minutes down Flynn Avenue and take in the beauty of Lake Champlain from Oakledge Park.
Parking: Parking area is accessed by turning into the lot by the Worldās Tallest Filing Cabinet. Often busy on weekdays but usually plenty of spots on a weekend
Wheelchair accessibility: Thereās a ramp from the back lot and several disabled parking spaces

It's 6am and I'm dreaming of a chocolate croissant. The savory pastries are also yummy. I'm happy there's a good Burlington pastry. Some of these new negative reviews are baffling! Croissants and K Aman have been baked well over the past couple months
Cute spot. Brio coffee is good. Note they no longer make food and pastries run out early.
