This was my first time visiting the restaurant, and even though the recent reviews have been bad, I decided to give it a chance.
The old man (I believe the owner of this restaurant) kept staring at me, which made me very uncomfortable. He later asked personal questions and was also rude. He overcharged me for daal (15$), whereas the menu says somewhere around 10$. Btw 15$ is what they are charging for a chicken biryani too. So you can compare.
The server, on the other hand, was very nice and respectful.
I don't recommend this place at all. Not worth the money.

Food was extremely bland, so much so that I actually brought out my own spices to make it worth eating. I got the lamb korma spicy, not even a hint of spice to be found and the overall execution felt cheap and watery. Fried cheese and chicken were similarly tasteless.

From the welcome this restaurant was a bad experience. The older person who welcomed us did not allow us to sit for dining. He made us stand and ask to check the menu first and order before we sit. It was a very rude experience. We tried lamb biriyani, chicken biriyani and lamb kurma. Biriyani was a disaster. It was a disgusting pulp and some meat in it. There were so many green peas in the biriyani which made the biriyani much more disgusting. There were no spices in the biriyani. The kurma was the same. I do not recommend this place as indian restaurant place. I have tried many other good Indian restaurants but this is not Indian food. Not recommended
Food was mediocre at best. Bland with no flavor or taste for the prices they charge. They put way too much oil in the food (especially the in the parathas) to the point where I didn't feel so good after eating there and had to throw the food away. I am of Indian origin so I know what I'm talking about. I would suggest going somewhere else if you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine!

We had the lamb curry (made not too spicy, per our request) and some samosas. Delicious. Ate outside with our dog on a lovely summer afternoon. Great service.

The Sunday buffet is a must. Great food and quality every time I've been. The price for the buffet is a steal and the owner is extremely personable as well as the staff.

Great food -- the best Indian food in town. Might sound insignificant, but they are the only Indian restaurant around (since India House closed) that seasons their white rice with cumin seeds, and that's a big plus in my book. The folks running the place are super nice, the food is great, prices are very reasonable, and you never have to wait too long for your order.

Okay, so it's not the fanciest Indian food restaurant in Burlington and it's probably not the best, but for the price and the quality at that price, it is the perfect late night feast or perfect take out and perfect place to get your Indian food fix. Keep your expectations in check, but definitely try it.
