Many reasons to champion this establishment. First, great beer selection. 2-their beer is high quality...and then some. 3-this is a no frills brewery; it's about the beer-no televisions, no promotional advertisement's (though they might do promo nights-I do not know), clientele was cheery and engaging (good "craic" as The Irish say and awesome personnel.4-Now, I only know of one employee (small sample size). Simon was a very attentive, friendly, tolerant barkeep, and practiced the willingness to partake in a bit of harmless rhetorical fun.5-But down to "brass tacks." This is a cool place to enjoy great brew. I found out from a neighbor of the area that the place was founded and owned by a former high school teacher. Come on, you can't go wrong!

Aside from the general friendliness of the place, it exceeds expectations in every other respect. Beyond and far the best beer craftsmanship in Burlington. They present attention to detail as well as range in their ability to create tasteful beers of all types with unique layers and notes instead of defaulting to 6 different types of IPA (each one more near a spirit than not) and 1 generic ale like many of their competitors in the area. The beer game around here seemed to exist in an echo chamber of metallic, tap-water brews set at an exorbitant price until I found this unassuming crossover between the neighborhood bar and iconic pursuit of art in the field of fermentation.

Cute little brewery in a plaza, so not a typical brewery setting, but still quaint. They did offer tastings in a flight, which my sister and I shared. We really loved the Radiant and Secret Crush IPAs, The Fireside Red was ok, and we both agreed the Elderflower Saison was not our cup of tea. They did have a small selection of food including a grilled cheese which looked and smelled delicious, but we did not order any food. They have a garage door that can be raised in warmer weather and some outdoor seating, although the views there aren't anything special.

Great beer done right. They have a wide variety of styles that are all very well done. No extreme shock and awe beers here; just great beer done right.

Stumbled upon Simple Roots on a Sunday night. Good beer and a great bartender. Best of luck to you Simple Roots.

We enjoy visiting this brewery because it's more like a neighborhood hangout than a big tourist attraction. The bartender that was on during our last visit really made that visit particularly enjoyable, she was really funny and friendly. The beers are always good and we love trying something new on each visit.
