Just left UVM Medical Center after 8 hours of visiting our dying grandfather. Our aunt walks up to the bar was immediately refused service. No excuse. No reason. No hesitation. Just a few random strangers out of town who were wholly unwelcome at this townie bar. This is a 100% true story that happened 15 minutes ago. Don't ever come here.

Fantastic bar with a great selection of local beers. It's a very warm atomosphere with great music and lots of regulars. There is plenty of seating inside. The bartender Mel that was there was very kind and got us our drinks fast. I'm so glad to have a nice bar close to where I live.

I got harassed walking down the street by a doorman who I greeted kindly (Mott? I believe his name is). Same doorman who I informed I was harassed by a regular and Mott responded "What do you want? For me to throw him out????" about two/three months ago. Not a big fan of this joint clearly. Mott made it clear to say that I'm "weird". Cool. Alright. Bet. I live on this street. "Weird" or not-- I shall continue walking down the street I live on. God bless this establishment.

Excellent atmosphere, service, and clientele. Truly the best of Burlington. The bartenders, barbacks, and bouncers are next level. Highly recommend paying the place a visit, whether you’re a local, visiting from out of town, or new to Burly- #run2ruggs !!

This place is amazing. Has a very chill and inclusive vibe. They listen to any moment if you're uncomfortable. (Being at a bar, female...late night). I really appreciate feeling safe. It's a bit of a dive, can have bad music, and annoying people. But isn't that every spot like this? I adore it, especially the people that are work here as well.

I don't like this place, bc it's exclusive... I've found. They're pretty like... shockingly pretentious? and make assumptions about people, people who are in situations they don't themselves don't know, or understand. It's mostly the owners and a couple employees, but it kind of carry's thru a little bit. I think about my friends, and how we feel safe (most of the time) at the bar downtown, at least from a 'demeaning' gaze... I don't see them feeling too comfortable here either, which prolly explains why I've never seen them up here. Or trusted the place enough to invite them. I don't like being looked down on. Some of the other employees are kind and accepting, the older one; the Irish one; they make you feel comfortable and at home. And a few of the customers are really likable, and kind which is nice.
