Al pastor taco and beef tostada were both good/tasty but not filling. $5 for a gchips and a tiny cup of Tabasco sauce felt like a rip off. Limited drink menu. Staff was attentive and place has a nice atmosphere, albeit loud. I don’t get the hype.
Yesterday was our second time at Taco Gordo, and once again, the tacos were so good! The margaritas were delicious too. We arrived pretty late, close to closing time, but the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, we never felt rushed
We were visiting from California. My husband got Carne Asada taco with beans & rice and I got the Tinga with side of rice. I also got a margarita. We found the food just so so. I think we were hoping for more authentic freshly grilled but it wasn't. We both found the rice pretty dry. They do have a good selection of hot sauce. We suggest adding pico de gallo. We did have to wait at least an hour to get on on a Fri night. The atmosphere is busy and bar like. You can tell...
