Good place but the bartender with the glasses is very rude. Yells at customers and is overall unpleasant and frankly shouldn't be working in customer services.

Great spot. Good drinks and solid layout. Bartender is a bit agro but that’s just his vibe. Drives out the annoying people which is nice and OP is less crowded than other bars.

I've been coming to this bar for two years now and through all the employees and customers I've met, the service has been fantastic, the vibe has been great, and they always have delicious popcorn (for free, too!). This is a great place to go if you're looking for a nice drink to chill by yourself or with friends.

The majority of people giving low reviews either tried to get in with fake ID's or caused a problem in the bar and are upset they got called out. It's a classic dive bar. The floors are sticky, the pool table is janky, and sometimes people are a little rough around the edges. But realistically the bar is full of great people, cheap/ well made drinks, and good conversation.

If I could give 0 starts I wouldI’ve been to a handful of bars, and this is by far the worst bar i’ve ever went to. The 2 main bar tender guys are very problematic and rude. To add they drink on the job and get very heated very fast. One of the bar tenders got an inch from my face screaming at the top of his lungs because when he threw my card at me and I threw the straw on the floor. I know several bad stories and experiences with this bar, if you want a good night out don’t go to the OP! Not worth it

Bartender was a complete piece of work. He tried to fight me on the street - quite literally. What’s a disgusting and hypocritical establishment. Avoid at all costs wort bar in Burlington. Owners suck.

Cheap spot for a couple drinks away from church st. Everyone was watching Jeopardy! Small place, but did have outdoor seating.

I am "banned" from this establishment for no reason. Went here after graduation and was screamed at by one of the employees who had a temper tantrum because a friend did not tip the bartender the amount he wanted to be tipped, completely unwarranted. Run by bitter older men who have vendettas against successful young women.

Bartender named Ben is a massive a****** for no reason, he must really hate his life and for that I feel sorry for him. All the reviews about him being aggressive and rude are absolutely correct. As I was in OP for the first time getting told all these stories about how he's the worst, he literally chose that exact moment to get in my face while I was sitting at a table and yelled at me to tip better next time, like ten whole minutes after making my drink (which he had no idea how to make in the first place, lmao). The ambiance of the OP is that of a fraternity for 35 year olds. Frequented mainly by rude, depressed incels. They're running this bar like the military and for what? For an actual good time walk across the street and go to Three Needs, matter of fact any bar in Burlington is better than this place. The O in OP stands for obnoxious. If you work at this establishment, you probably need to lay off the roids. Or try seeking anger management therapy?Best of luck in your business endeavors!

Myself and my company were banned from the establishment on the grounds that I did not tip on a 6 dollar (open) tab. The bartender proceeded to (unintentionally) strike another guest with a beverage coaster; with the intention of hitting me.anyway, in short- OP has great drinks, but unprofessional and seemingly drunken service. and on top of that, terrible aim.

Been in the industry for 8+ years. By far the worst bar experience I’ve ever had. I came in with 5-6 friends and tried to order drinks for us. We tried to split them between two cards, which is something that shouldn’t be hard for any bartender. He proceeded to throw us all out of the bar (majority of us hadn’t even spoke to him) and call my perfectly polite friend some vicious words. We were trying to spend money at this bar. As Burlington service industry workers, this experience left a horrible taste in our mouths.Won’t be returning. Went to Finnigans after and told the bartender what happened. She was super super understanding and felt the same exact way we did.Don’t like leaving bad reviews. But this was an anomaly.Immature, and a sad excuse for a bartender.

"Old man" bar in the best way with friendly locals and tourists alike. Pool, indoor/outdoor seating with affordable drinks, great bartenders & plenty of tasty food options nearby; outside food is not frowned upon, but if a snack is all that's desired, complimentary popcorn is available.

I can't vouch for what it's like here on a weekend when school is in session, but on the the Wednesday night in July that I visited the OP I experienced none of the rude service other reviewers have griped about. Just a friendly neighborhood bar with cheap beers and shots. Bathroom could have been cleaner, but otherwise, no complaints. This bar reminded me of the old Rudy's on Elm St. If you're over a certain age, and spent any time in New Haven, you know this is the highest of complements.
