Martell's at the Red Fox

fantastic food! The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. My daughter got the baked mac and cheese which is a GENEROUS, delicious portion. We will be back.

Friendly and excellent service, the food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area and hungry, and my wife and I plan on returning again.

This restaurant is located on Edward road out side of the wyndham managed smugglers notch resort in vermont...we visited this area during the off season...we were given a list of restaurant that were either closed for the season or the restaurant's hours of operation were inconvenient...Red Fox was the only restaurant open everyday from 11am-9pm...and everything we ordered was delicious, except for the fries..they were little greasy.

Glad they have delicious vegetarian options too. I loved their pita. My friend enjoyed his spinach salad too

My husband and I stopped for lunch. I ordered nachos and my husband ordered a fish sandwich. The first bite he took a stream of oil came from the fish. It was shocking. I tried my nachos and the cheese they use is so low quality it tasted terrible. The sour cream tasted like it was going south. We never saw our server again until check time. Once is more than enough for this place.

We were hopeful and sorely disappointed. We will never go back. If you are hoping for a good meal with kids don’t bother. The service was pretty awful. We had reservations for 6pm. We were seated promptly. Then it took over 10 min for anyone to even stop by to get drink orders. We finally placed our food orders around 6:30. By 7:00 when nothing arrived and the kids were getting ravenous and cranky, we said something. A sloppy plate of very greasy and overcooked calamari came out. We asked if they could just prioritize the kids food and they said they couldn’t. I implored them to bring anything out for them to eat and we did get a plate of French fries quickly. Then by 7:30 after asking multiple times our food finally came out. Food was acceptable. Some things were better than others. Mac and cheese with pulled pork and the stir fry were very good, kids chicken bites were ok, grilled chicken added to the salad was dry, French fries that came with the burger were cold. When we asked for an accommodation for the terrible wait, we were told it was a holiday weekend and then they added an automatic 20% gratuity. I personally didn’t want the waitstaff to pay for the kitchen’s error but I expected the management to make some sort of amends and it stuck in my throat that 20% was added automatically. We were 6 people, but split the bill. Lots could have been done and nothing was.

Food was among the best! Cooked perfect and very tasty.

Absolutely try this place, they work hard from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. Even short staffed, they get to know you and take time to talk and listen. We ended up going back multiple times, and each time was 10 out of 10 for greeting, drinks, food, service, atmosphere and genuinely friendly. This place is a gem!

Just went here and was told where the tables were by the hostess, and about five minutes later she brings menus and dropped them off. No drink order or a welcoming personality? She said " I'll be right with you" After sitting for 10 minutes we walked out.
No wonder the place was empty, so busy is not an excuse . First meal in Vermont I choose you, and I get this? Wow

This place had awesome food and the prices for what you got were so reasonable. The mussels and the beef tips were amazing. The wings were large and well sauced. So happy we went here two nights in a row.

Very hard working staff, very friendly and accommodating. Food was satisfying, gluten free burger and dry rub wings was excellent, but they don't have a huge gluten free menu. No music on a Saturday but place was busy nice the less. Great option if your in the area. I will go back. Nice swimming hole nearby as well for a quick dip.

Had lunch at Martells this afternoon…..yummy food, excellent service, happy additional items that I will need to go back and try!
