We requested a table. They told us 20 minutes left us waiting 40 minutes and acted like they forgot about us. Went up the road to Martell's and was served immediately. If you want business pay attention to your customers. It's not complicated ?‍♂️

Not sure how the food was because we never got to sit down. But if it’s anything like their attitude and professionalism it deserves zero stars. I had a party of 18 for whom I called over a month in advance for a reservation during Presidents week, a time I anticipated would be busy and more challenging for a large group. I spoke with a helpful male who informed me they would accommodate us in a downstairs room that they had for larger parties. He took my information down including name and cell number. When we arrived the young lady told us she had no reservation of this type. She was unapologetic and said there was nothing she could do. Keep in mind there are approximately 3 restaurants within smugglers off site vicinity, two of which were closed. She asked me to show her the phone call I made on my cell phone as proof. And also said that typically if reservations are made far in advance that they “usually get lost”!!! What?!? It was implied that I was lying about my reservation and when another member of our party spoke to the manager he admitted it slipped through the cracks but blamed us for not calling to confirm. I had ten hungry children in our party with no where to eat and was not even offered an apology nevertheless an accommodation of any type. Horrible customer service and poorly run business.

This was the most horrible experience of our trip at smugglers notch. We made a reservation for 18 two months in advance. Not only did they “lose the reservation in the shuffle” but they then blamed us!!! It was out responsibly to make sure they still had our reservation. These people are bonkers. Safe yourself the aggravation and book somewhere else!

Village Tavern Jeffersonville, VT I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Village Tavern in Jeffersonville, VT, conveniently located minutes from Smuggler's Notch, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our dining experience was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, with a diverse menu that catered to a variety of tastes. I tried the grilled salmon and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The portion sizes were generous and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend the Maple Chipotle Wings(we are in VT of course) or the Quesadilla Explosion Salad to really get your taste buds going. They offer a variety of classics for kids as well such as Chicken Fingers, Hot Dogs, and Spaghetti. Overall, I highly recommend The Village Tavern to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Jeffersonville. The combination of excellent food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit destination. I will definitely be returning in the future. PLEASE NOTE: They are VERY busy so you will likely not get through via phone. I showed up in person to a packed restaurant, placed my takeout order and was out within 20 mins.

Cozy pub with excellent food, good selection of beers and staff were fantastic. The pot stickers and bourbon burger were both phenomenal. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We have been going to Smuggler's Notch for years and we thought we knew all the local spots, but this was such a great find. We went on a Tuesday night, and it was packed. I even bumped into an acquaintance from NJ. The service was a little slow initially, I ordered the Taco Salad with Steak tip's instead of Taco meat. It was unbelievable a monster salad. Hubby order the French dip sandwich. It was melt in your mouth good! Next time in Smugglers we will definitely be back!!

Great food, I recommend the prime Rib. The service was great and the food came out fairly fast. The prices are very cheap compared to surrounding restaurants. Overall a great place to eat in the area.

not worth the money, the food is average. Staff had bad attitude. Food took long time and didn't bring out complete order. Service was terrible.

Such a fabulous meal! We got the cornbread (so incredible), the potatoe latkes with maple cream, and the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. We were there to celebrate my moms birthday. Ans they ended up giving up a dessert free of charge for her birthday. Great local spot !!!

A great dinner stop during our stay - good variety on the menu, and service was great. We went on a weeknight around five so it wasn't too crowded, but seemed to fill in quite a bit by the time we were leaving. Has a good pub feel, and sitting below the smugglers notch inn just gives it a great vibe.
