We got married here in May with about 70 guests. They told us the minimum guest found for a Saturday night was 100, which we agreed to. A bit later, management told us we could lower the count to 75. Because of that, we had a “credit” for the amount we had already paid for the 100 head count minimum. They gave us a few options to use it and we chose one. The day of the wedding went well, but the food wasn’t nearly as good as we were expecting. The chicken was dry and the steak was over cooked or undercooked. Needless to say, we were a bit embarrassed about that. Now, if that was the only issue, I would not be here leaving this one star review. When we left, we were under the impression that we had paid in full. A few weeks later, we were sent an email saying we still owed $1400. We questioned this and the next email was very pushy. We gave it a few days to discuss our options and go from there but then my husband realized that they had already charged his account from the financial information we had given them for our deposit. So they essentially stole from us. If you choose to have your wedding there, I would tread very carefully. Now our wedding memories are tainted with this.

Warm hometown feeling (even though we're seasonal visitors to the Lake) as it's decorated with awesome photos of the local youth from surrounding towns along with beautiful model ships that my daughter loved. Very friendly patrons there (hometown feel), welcoming staff, including the cooks peeking out to see how things were going and to say hi. Starter salads were fresh and tastey, amazing warm rolls served (I wanted 5 more ?), and I went with the oven baked haddock, which was a delightful dish and my first time having that fish. My wife enjoyed a very nice helping of oven fried shrimp with linguine. All and all, it was better than I was expecting and definitely worth checking out and supporting local.(And no, it's not a coffee shop)Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere to bring children.

Great food, generous portions, very welcoming hospitality, well worth stopping here for a great meal when in town, Roy and the crew go the extra mile to make sure your dining experience is one to remember. And the walls are covered with local photographic history. And for people who have grown up or live in the area you may just see yourself or a friend or neighbours in one or more of the photos. So stop by and say hi to Roy and tell em Stan sent ya
