Beautiful beautiful beautiful. What a hotel and restaurant. Food was a bit pricey but given the atmosphere I understand why. Ordered beef Wellington medium rare... Part of it was well, part of it was very very rare. I guess if you average it out... Amazing staff. Breakfast was solid too.

Every detail was thoughtfully designed, from the luxurious rooms to the impeccable hospitality. A perfect getaway
My 12 year old boy was here the other day. He was excited to order the kids spaghetti with meatballs (a proper portion for his age) Unfortunately, they denied him service as the kids menu is only available for under 11 years old. Hence, he was forced to order the stake which was an inappropriate and extremely large portion for his size and age. Mind you, he is an average size and height for his age. It would be optimal to assume children under 18 are still children, or at least under 16. This service was extremely unacceptable, and the waiters refused to accommodate upon asking. Overall, i do NOT recommend the following restaurant. Save your money!
We had a fantastic dinner at Castle Hill Restaurant. We were celebrating a special birthday and booked the private dining room for our party of 6. The dining room can comfortably accommodate 10 people; it has a fireplace and is decorated gorgeously.
Our server Kelly was attentive and professional. She did an amazing job.
We had shrimp cocktail appetizers and French onion soup. Both were delicious. For dinner we had beef Wellington, pork chop and beef filet. Portions were generous and the food quality was outstanding.
We look forward to returning the next time we are in the area.

The food and service were awful. The beef Wellington was tough and the gnocchi were burned. The salads were nothing to write home about. Very sad. The service was awful. Reaching across the table to serve or pour wine. Not fitting for the atmosphere
For the money go else where. I sorry to say this because we have been going there for over 50 years. It was never like this.
Vegetarian options: Awful. One of my guest had it and could not eat it.

We were staying at the Castle and had dinner in the restaurant. We were the only customers so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Our server was excellent. She gave us information around the castle and local places to visit. My husband had the lobster, shrimp and steak trio and I have the filet mignon. The portions were large. My steak was great. The only item that was not fantastic were the mashed potatoes otherwise the meal was delicious. The lemon tart for desert was enjoyable.
The food needs to live up to atmosphere and ambiance.Started with the HOUSE MADE GLUTEN FREE TAMALE BRUSCHETTA and it was inedible. Second course was TOSSED LITTLE LEAF FARMS salad which was drenched in dressing. Couldn’t even finish it. Third course was the TRIO SEAFOOD OVER LOBSTER RAVIOLI and was extremely bland and not fresh. The service was ok, however drinks were not served timely, had to ask for water, and did match expectations the way the staff was presented.Conceptually all the meals sound great but the taste never lived up to the description.Overall I would not recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful building, and good service but the surf and turf should be avoided. The lobster tail was tiny and dried

During our two week trip to New England we took a last minute side trip to Vermont and stayed at the Castle Hill Inn Resort & Spa and ate at its fine dining restaurant on a Tuesday night. We chose to eat in the elegant original dining room overlooking the back gardens. It was very romantic. The wine selection was delightfully more varied than what we had been experiencing in the region and the food and service were top notch. Sadly, because of the recent flooding, what used to be its second busiest season after skiing, now is awfully quiet. People are staying away from the area and we were only one of five couples to be eating there that night.
Suppah as they would say in Boston
Very disappointing dinner. The onion soup was watery. The lemon chicken was chicken and gravy, not tasty. The crab cake was all bread crumbs. It's too bad because the Castle is beautiful.
