Every detail was thoughtfully designed, from the luxurious rooms to the impeccable hospitality. A perfect getaway

We had a fantastic dinner at Castle Hill Restaurant. We were celebrating a special birthday and booked the private dining room for our party of 6. The dining room can comfortably accommodate 10 people; it has a fireplace and is decorated gorgeously.

Our server Kelly was attentive and professional. She did an amazing job.

We had shrimp cocktail appetizers and French onion soup. Both were delicious. For dinner we had beef Wellington, pork chop and beef filet. Portions were generous and the food quality was outstanding.

We look forward to returning the next time we are in the area.

The food and service were awful. The beef Wellington was tough and the gnocchi were burned. The salads were nothing to write home about. Very sad. The service was awful. Reaching across the table to serve or pour wine. Not fitting for the atmosphere

For the money go else where. I sorry to say this because we have been going there for over 50 years. It was never like this.

Vegetarian options: Awful. One of my guest had it and could not eat it.

The food needs to live up to atmosphere and ambiance.Started with the HOUSE MADE GLUTEN FREE TAMALE BRUSCHETTA and it was inedible. Second course was TOSSED LITTLE LEAF FARMS salad which was drenched in dressing. Couldn’t even finish it. Third course was the TRIO SEAFOOD OVER LOBSTER RAVIOLI and was extremely bland and not fresh. The service was ok, however drinks were not served timely, had to ask for water, and did match expectations the way the staff was presented.Conceptually all the meals sound great but the taste never lived up to the description.Overall I would not recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful building, and good service but the surf and turf should be avoided. The lobster tail was tiny and dried

During our two week trip to New England we took a last minute side trip to Vermont and stayed at the Castle Hill Inn Resort & Spa and ate at its fine dining restaurant on a Tuesday night. We chose to eat in the elegant original dining room overlooking the back gardens. It was very romantic. The wine selection was delightfully more varied than what we had been experiencing in the region and the food and service were top notch. Sadly, because of the recent flooding, what used to be its second busiest season after skiing, now is awfully quiet. People are staying away from the area and we were only one of five couples to be eating there that night.

Suppah as they would say in Boston

Very disappointing dinner. The onion soup was watery. The lemon chicken was chicken and gravy, not tasty. The crab cake was all bread crumbs. It's too bad because the Castle is beautiful.

Worst food ever! When the salad is salty you know you’re in for a bad dining experience. We ordered the salmon and the lamb and it was salted beyond recognition, and was accompanied with school cafeteria style vegetables. The appetizers the bruschetta is by far the worst item on the menu. Never in my life have I had warm bruschetta, and when I ask for an explanation I’m told it’s more of a pizza. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs, because the price point definitely did not match the quality of the food. If I could give a lower rating I would I cannot stress how bad this food was. Avoid this place for your own sake.0/10 stars

As the Duke of Ludlow, I figured I should check out the local castle (where I should probably be living). I started off with the Prince Edward mussels. The Prince and I have been good friends for many years. Then I got the double lamp chops. Them sheep are only good for one thing: lamb chops and wool. Luckily this was an edible one. I went to use the restroom afterwards and ended up getting lost in the dang dungeon overnight. Luckily the moat was froze the next morning when I found my way out. Might try ice fishing there next week. Pat Gray, Esq. Duke of Ludlow, VT Candidate, Governor of Ludlow
