The poster Deb below is right. 1 pie is 48$ which is absolutely insane especially for a place that doesn’t have their prices anywhere. 2 pies and a slice of pie 104$ (EDIT* total was actually 114$ because we paid with a debit card). For this place to get on and tell commenters that they “must have gotten more” because one pie “isn’t 50$” when they know they’re charging 50$ a pie is weird? Own the price and take the 2 stars or lower the prices?

These pies are equivalent to what you would find at a cute side of the road farm stand (EDIT BECAUSE THIS COMMENT WAS MISCONSTRUED* equivalent meaning there’s nothing spectacular that sets YOUR PIES apart from the cute roadside homemade pies that cost 25-35$, in fact we frequent one in a surrounding state every year!) that are selling for 25$ so just do yourselves a favor and go find one of those!

On a better note, the setup they have is super cute ??

EDIT: I am taking 1 star away for the nasty gram I got back. Yes you have a video of yourself spewing the prices and my family and I buying the pies. Why did I buy the pies even though they were 50$ a piece? Because I was intrigued. I have nothing bad to say about the pie, it was a nicely made pie.

At the end of the day I left this review because you are constantly RUDE TO CUSTOMERS on this review forum and you LIED to somebody below me trying to say that a single pie DIDN’T cost them 50$… when it actually did cost them that, just like you said in your nasty gram back to me. I look in the mirror and am pleased with who I am and I’m happy to have given you my business even if my opinion sent you into a manic episode ☺️

I hope you have a great week! Maybe stop being nasty to everyone commenting their reviews, reviews are what this space is for! While we’re on the topic, spewing all of your prices off super fast while customers are trying to actively browse isn’t very effective. Some people have disabilities that affect their ability to process information / ability with communicating in general / some people have hearing difficulty / etc. I recommend another method to show your prices to potential customers ??

Side note: pies in Manhattan are around 40$ so you’re still 8$ above what high COL city folk are paying.

If you like your pies filled with applesauce, this is your place.

These pies are not worth $35, especially when they’re frozen.

VERY PRICEY!! $50. A pie!! We did buy one and it was good but not worth the price. We were bringing dessert to a family dinner and did not have many options. Should have gone to Shaw’s; although it was better than store bought not $50 better!! The guy was less than helpful and kind of gruff. Ridiculous pricing !

I was charged $50 for a pie!! I will gladly return to get my money back!

Update: I want to be fair in this review as I always want to support local businesses. Bottom line, the pies are good And they are pricey. Up to you …

To clarify, there are pies that cost $50 AND other pies that cost $35. The pies are delicious and they use quality ingredients.

Upon my return, he was helpful providing an explanation of the pricing and said many do not pay attention to his narration when you first arrive. There are no signs.

Note: you may want to bring cash because there is a fee to use a CC

I was excited to go here because the photos of the pies looked really good. Although I read the reviews and saw that many people said that the owners are mean, I didn’t really care and decided to try it out anyways. Firstly, it’s super expensive for a pie, and I would have actually bought one because I really wanted a dessert, but the man working there actually was so rude. I didn’t want to give him any money after the way he acted. Also, for the price I didn’t expect the pies to all be frozen! Now that I am reading the replies from the owner on other reviews, I never would have went there in the first place. How unprofessional.

Very pricey! The prices can compare to Manhattan prices. We typically buy organic pies in Manhattan local market and pay about $30 per pie. here we paid for a pie and banana bread $60.Otherwise the food is delicious.

This is a great spot to stop for a sweet treat! We had the apple crisp, Boston cream pie, and cinnamon rolls during our stay in Vermont. All desserts are homemade & delicious. Will be back :)

The pie here is not just a pie.The apple pie, specifically, is a euphoric experience. I've never had such a tasty pie. I got a slice at night, had a bite, and decided I couldn't leave without picking up a whole pie for the ride home. It's a little on the pricey side ($32 I believe), but if you think about it, a sub-par pie from Wegmans costs $15, and will not bring you nowhere near the amount of joy you will get from eating a pie from Vermont Apple Pies. Trust me. It is worth it.There are so many tasty dessert goodies to choose from aside from pie. I am looking forward to my next trip so I can try them all :)

Was planning on visiting this place during my trip to Vermont but didn't due to responses from the owner. It seems as though if you voice your opinion and rate them anything less that 5 stars you will get a lengthy and hostile response basically telling you off (I'm sure I'll get one too). That's a good way to run potential customers off. I get it, they're feeling personally attacked through these reviews but the owners seems extremely bitter and angry.

Very wide selection, everything from lasagna and pizzas to cookie pies. The cinnamon rolls were phenomenal, 5/5. The apple pie was a mixed bag--delicious top crust and filling, but the bottom crust was very undercooked, so 3/5. Averages out to a 4/5.Expensive but that's par for the course in a vacation town. Worth a stop if you're staying in Ludlow. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more options.

Sorry to have to post this but we stopped and the place looks really cute on the outside. We wanted a small applesauce loaf cake, 4 small bags of little cookies and 3 pints of ice cream. When he said $84, I about fell over. We put the cake back and it was $54! So heads up!

Stop by if you’re in the area! they’ve got a nice variety of delicious pies, donuts etc
we’d have loved if there were smaller applepies than only the large ones.

This was not what was expected. They had a bad turn with all the rain and their home got damaged. One of the owner's was nice enough to let us into the bakery part of the place, unfortunately everything was frozen, there was no freshly baked good. These pictures you see here are nothing what we saw. We were very disappointed but felt bad and bought some things however when it was totaled up by the owner I was shocked at the price! We bought 3 cinnamon sticks, 2 apple crisps, 1 whoopie pie, and 1 angel food cake loaf the total was $60. I was shocked but didn't have the heart to put anything back. But it is not a place I will revisit or recommend. The bake goods were okay nothing fantastic, actually the apple crisp was way too sweet. The fact that everything was frozen threw me off, I was expecting freshly baked.
