Early Bird Catering

They locked their keys in the car on the day of the wedding. Dinner was an hour late. I wish they would have been honest with me about the situation instead of trying to hide it. I could have fixed the problem in no time. I'm a geologist, I would have picked a really nice rock. On the plus side our photographer snapped a pic of AAA opening up their car and we have a great story.

Terrible service on my wedding day! Food arrived late, but this is just the start. His family were his staff (he himself didn’t show) and they had no idea what to do, all our planning was clearly not communicated to them. The appetizers were late and cold and set up by only one staff member during cocktail hour (this should’ve been done before), and my mother and a few friends had to roll all the silverware into the napkins during this time (!!!) and set up the tables and they noticed the silverware was dirty! I ordered linens through this company, and we didn’t receive any for the smaller tables, and he also delivered them the morning of when we had talked about getting them a day or two before. The food was lukewarm and they ran out of some of it. He was not apologetic when I expressed these complaints but I eventually did get a reasonable refund. Please do not book him for your wedding or any other event, it was a nightmare dealing with him and he was nearly impossible to get a hold of the month leading up to our wedding.

I’m shocked and disappointed to see so many 5 star reviews, knowing that my sister’s wedding received 1 star service. The catering team arrived an hour late, so there were no apps at cocktail hour. When it was time for dinner to be served, only apps were put out and I received a pretty nasty attitude when I requested that the rest of the food be served. When it was served, the food was lukewarm at best and nearly everything was undercooked. The schedule of events and all details were communicated with the company well in advance, which should have helped the service go seamlessly. I have worked in food service for many years and have helped with many catering events, and I have to say that the service at my sister’s wedding was abhorrent. There truly is no excuse to fail so epically and miserably on one of the most important days of someone’s life.
Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I was told the meatballs were decent.

Devon and his team provided an excellent service for me and my family. His communication was very thorough during the whole event. He and his team were very responsive, all of the food was prepared wonderfully, and was delicious ! His pricing was very fair for the amount of people I had at my party ect. I would highly recommend early bird catering to anyone. This won't be the last time I have his service provided. Thank you EBC TEAM !!

Deven and Early Bird Catering catered our wedding and we couldn't recommend them more. The food was incredible, they had gluten free and vegan options (for BBQ!), the service was amazing and all of our guests raved about the food. Deven was really great to work with throughout the entire process and is someone we really felt great having as our caterer.

My wife and I chose Early Bird Catering for our wedding dinner, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision! The food was outstanding, and our guests were thoroughly impressed. The entire team was charming, helpful, and incredibly professional. Communication was smooth and clear throughout the planning process, which made everything easier.

On the day of the wedding, we faced a huge storm that knocked out power at the venue. Despite this, the catering team didn’t miss a beat—they even washed dishes in the dark with headlamps! Their ability to keep things running seamlessly under such challenging conditions was truly impressive. The atmosphere remained upbeat and positive, thanks in no small part to the friendly and accommodating banquet servers. And all the food—especially the mushroom gnocchi—was a hit with everyone! Early Bird Catering truly made our special day unforgettable.

I want to start off by saying, Early Bird and their catering service was overall amazing and I would definitely recommend them.

My husband and I had a micro wedding of 14 people in the mountains of Vermont. I felt terrible that Deven got lost, but ended up coordinating with our venue host to find the place! My main concern (and the reason for 4/5 stars) was that he came alone. We ordered 20 plates of food just to be sure everyone was fed and for left overs, a wedding cake, and deserts. We ordered basic setup and self serve. All the food was absolutely delicious- the carrot cake wedding cake was PERFECT and the cheese cake to die for! The prep took some time given he was alone and needed to set it all up on his own. He prepared the food perfectly! While he was cleaning up, my husband and I helped package the leftovers. Overall, food was delicious and the ONLY thing was he needed a few more hands to help him! Thank you so so so much for making our wedding day special and delicious! Cheers!

We had Deven and his team cater our July 2024 Wedding, and it was EXCELLENT! We had never heard of the company, but decided to give the tasting a shot and were blown away by the food! The team did an amazing job, friendly, professional and accommodating. Have nothing but glowing reviews from all our guests. Thanks for the great service and meal Early Bird Catering!!!

Deven's team and Early Bird catering provided the most wonderful experience on our wedding day. They were professional, kind, and self-sufficient. Our guests loved the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres, especially the butternut squash soup and the caramelized onion grilled cheese bites.

For dinner we had three options for our guests: Rib Eye topped with a bright and earthy chimichurri sauce, Salmon with Parsley Gremolata, and a Gnocchi With Caramelized Mushrooms and Spinach with an Alfredo Style Cream Sauce as a vegetarian option. They also provided a delicious and beautiful vanilla olive oil cake with maple buttercream frosting for our special day. The food was excellent and that alone I would provide 5 stars!

My only feedback is that plating were very large portions slightly untidy, and dinner was run while speeches were made.

Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars and I certainly would recommend Deven and Early Bird to any couple looking for excellent and well crafted wedding food! Thank you!

Devon and team catered for our wedding in Sept 2022. Early Bird was incredibly helpful and accommodating for our ~70 person event and created a reasonably priced menu to our needs and preferences. They were exceptionally professional, courteous, and provided excellent service. Devon went out of his way to deliver tastings directly to us to help with our decisions on the menu. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food, and even today whenever our wedding comes up in conversation, the food is always raved over. I highly recommend Early Bird for anyone considering them for a future event. Thanks again to you all and hope you've had well deserved success.

Just had the fully loaded breakfast sandwich, with chipotle aioli. Absolutely phenomenal. Great prices, very filling, and tasty. Highly recommend!
