Café Mamajuana is a unique hidden gem in the north end with a teleporting effect. Known for its well-thought-out menu, the restaurant was even nominated for a James Beard award. The Pescado Frito (fried red snapper) is a must-try dish, perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty. The staff is friendly and engaging, adding to the overall great experience. For takeout, the papas rellenas, tostones, arancini dominicana, guava BBQ and jerk chicken, and empanadas with various dipping sauces are highly recommended.
