One of the best restaurants in Vermont! The kindest staff, most delicious food, and great indoor atmosphere. I personally love their dirty fries and lavender lemonade, but theres really no going wrong on their menu! I've recommended it to everyone I know!

Pioneer Lakeshore is a small-townish restaurant with killer sandwiches. We got the chicken sandwich and pork sandwich, and both were fantastic. A must-try if you're around and have never been.
Pioneer Lakeshore Cafe is simply the best. Their classics—fried fish sandwich, crispy chicken sandwich, burgers, hash brown, fries, full coffee bar, and more—are phenomenal. The rotating specials and homemade pastries ‘wow’ me every time I try something new. I would give 10 stars if I could! Pioneer is the best spot for lunch in Colchester, hands down. The food is awesome - menu is exciting with a ton of variety and always high quality ingredients. They're often coming up with something new on their specials board (last week was a swordfish BLT!). In addition to great food, they have excellent coffee (lattes & other espresso drinks). The service is great and the atmosphere is fun. I'm always telling people that Pioneer is a hidden gem. I feel lucky to live a couple miles away.
