Amazing food and drinks! We have been in Vermont for 4 days and this place is by far the best!
Fried tofu from the heavens.
Cocktails were will crafted and delicious. Fried pickles were crispy and flavorful. The dipping sauce flight was great for the fries and tots. The brisket sandwich was Devine it Sold out quick but worth showing up early for.
4.8 stars? Anyone who rates this below a 5 star must be having a rough day. Local legend, Eric Britton, recommended we come here. Cheese Curds are local and so delicious. The drinks, an Arnold Palmer, a short delay to finish brewing the tea and making homemade lemonade. Service, food, everything was exceptional. Cool vibe. What a great place. This is a hidden gem for the area.
An absolute Vermont Gem. Clearly operated with a passion for people, great life drinks, and food. Simple, yummy, and you feel right at home in a beautiful place.
Always good food and drink. Great atmosphere. We have never been disappointed

I ate here many times when I was hiking in the NEK, and it was excellent every single time. Great ambiance and the staff really make you feel welcome. I had their smash burger, burger special (bacon jam), Korean bbq wings, cheese curds, and packa bowl. It was all amazing, I recommend everything I had. I had no idea crispy chick peas were missing from my life, they were SO tasty and addictive. Great local beer selection. The glamping on property looks really nice and relaxing (not sure if it’s connected to the bistro). They are pet friendly which is awesome.

Sometimes dining at a bar guarantees neglect, but not at the Blackbird! We were attended to by a woman whose youthful tattoos and casual tone stood in stark contrast to her perfect efficiency and utter competence. Her performance reminded me of the way touring dance professionals make impossible feats look effortless. The cocktails were interesting and satisfying; the food was just as good. We had salmon croquettes, seared tuna, and a memorable salad with fried chickpeas and spicy peanut sauce (so good!).
This probably goes without saying, but the bar was loud and crowded. We thought it a reasonable trade, given the 45 minute wait that it allowed us to completely bypass.

A hip and cozy spot for dinner and drinks. The cocktail menu is quite creative with lots of interesting options. Service is attentive and friendly. He got the burger and I got the chicken sandwich — both delish. It feels a bit on the pricey side as a local, but well worth the occasional splurge.

Blackbird is THE local spot. The food is consistently delicious, the vibe is right and the folks running it are the best. The cocktails are artful - I especially appreciate their mocktails, which are some of the best I’ve had. We’re lucky to have Blackbird in Craftsbury year round!!

We stayed with Craftsbury Inn for a weekend friday-sunday and was fortunate enough to have dinner at the Blackbird Bistro, this place is awesome (and the locals know it) they don't take reservations, so make sure you get there about 15-30 mins before you plan to eat so you can ensure your table. (It's popular and for good reason) The food was amazing, local in most cases and delicious and fresh, the cocktails though is where we were shocked the most, the level of service and taste the cocktails had was amazing, something that woul rival any cocktail bar in a big city, for something this rural it was very impressive, we had multiple. When we were there they had one on the menu to raise money for the local library so keep an eye out for those ones on the menu, who doesn't like to drink for a cause. If your in Craftsbury and you want to east some good food in a great setting this is where you need to be.
