We had dinner on Thanksgiving and everyone was incredibly friendly. Food was delicious. Space was cozy!
Many recommendations for fine dining so gave it a try. Food was nice, wine steward excellent but table service was terrible. Only 3 tables at the later end of brunch and waitress was distracted, stripping tables and asking if we need anything with armload of dirty linens, calling out to us over her shoulder asking if we want dessert on her way through and served lukewarm coffee and a truly scant amount of butter for us to share. Landmark location in charming VT village but needs to step up the diners experience for $90 + tip brunch for just two people.
A totally great experience at the Dorset Inn dining room. A lovely setting near the fireplace with attentive service. We enjoyed our meals which were prepared very well and attractively presented. Next time we'll try the tavern for lunch .
Food and ambience always positively consistent Staff is welcoming and professional A perfectly lovely evening
This is a very nice evening, with a very tasty menu, serving basic comfort food well. Help is attentive and the barkeep engaging.
This restaurant is in a very old inn and the decor is elegant and evokes the history of the inn. Our dinner was delicious and the service was very nice. We very much enjoyed our meal at the Dorset Inn.
The food was good, but overpriced and my reservation was cancelled by the restaurant, which I don't know why. Luckily there was a table for me, though 15 minutes later than my original time. Makes me not have trust that this won't happen again
We visit the Dorset Inn several times throughout the year. This October it was for our Anniversary dinner. We had great service, considering there was a special event being held in the main dining room. The only recommendation I would have is to offer more vegetarian entrees. We love the Dorset Inn!
Beautiful, quaint and very New England... the food was delicious, great service, and good price point.
My family and I love the Dorset Inn! The restaurant is charming with great atmosphere and friendly service. The food was good - solid and satisfying but it didn't quite stand out or reach the level of excellence that I hoped for.

I have been going to the Dorset Inn for 39 years. I was very disappointed that they are now making dinner reservations at the bar. The tavern is what makes this old restaurant special. Now you can't just go for a drink. Horrible idea. I will be looking for a new bar. Sad to see this
Not much more we can say. We made our annual Columbus Day Weekend visit. A well prepared meal and great service made for a pleasant evening. Kudos to everyone at the Dorset Inn.
We had a very nice dinner for 4, food was very good, hot and fresh ingredients, the service was wonderful, our waitress gave us “chef suggestions” for our meat suggestions... we went with chef suggestions and everything was perfect
Food was fine. Nothing exceptional. The waiter was surly and seemingly uninterested in us. Overall, the atmosphere was cozy and the location suits me and my friend as a meeting place but I would not be rushing back.
Everything we has was delicious. It was one of the best meals I've had dining out in while. Service was great too.
