Last night was my first visit to Phoenix House and it definitely won’t be the last! Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Drinks were delicious and the food was incredible. We arrived for an early dinner and were lucky to get a table as the restaurant quickly filled up.I look forward to trying out more of the menu, I had a hard time choosing because everything sounded so good! It’s evident that these folks care about every aspect of the dining experience, and I’m already planning my next visit!

I've visited here several times since moving to Franklin in December 2023 and everything has been very well executed and seasoned. The specials which change each week are creative and always delicious and the portions are better than in Chittenden County. The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. It's a hidden gem up here and my go to restaurant for after work and with guests.

The Phoenix House catered our rehearsal dinner for our wedding in September 2023 and the food was absolutely amazing! We have been back to the restaurant multiple times because the food is so good and the service is so friendly. Can't recommend this place highly enough for dinner or to cater an event!

Definitely a hidden gem. Delicious food and friendly staff and guests. Phoenix House has a wonderful rotating menu with something for everyone. I wish they had a basic drink menu as it's one of the few things they are missing.If you're planning on going, make a reservation. The place fills up quickly and only has ~ 10 tables.Kid-friendliness: Children's menu and highchairs available.

Great service! Sitting outside on porch was perfect atmosphere! Food...the crab and lobster roll with fries.. delicious! Friendly waitress! Have been there in past will always go again. They never disappoint.

My wife and I went for my daughter's birthday.They had pasta which was good, I had a Steak and scallops...steak was cold when I got it, they tried to warm it some but didn't help much - not much flavor to steak low quality. Scallops were over cooked with no flavor. Overall very disappointing.

This is an eclectic hit or miss option. The owners/chef clearly put a lot of thought into their menu, especially the weekly specials. Very creative. Check them out on Facebook before you go, new specials menu every Wednesday. We have been many times and about 50% of the time we have been more than pleased with the food. The other 50%? Just OK. If you like old post and beam farmhouses, then you will like the ambiance. It is a popular local option.
We had such a great experience at the Phoenix House! Our food was absolutely delicious & our waitress was very attentive. The drunken phoenix wings were so good. I had the maple steak tips and my bf had the fish and chips. We were so happy with the portions. Felt like elevated home cooking! We got the maple upside cake and it was perfect. Highly recommend!

We were seated at 7:38. My 3 kids ages 3-11 and husband walked out at 8:55 when we still hadn't recieved anything we ordered. The nachos delivered at 8:48 were not the nachos we ordered. We tried to pay for the drinks and wrong nachos but we were told if we didnt WAIT for our food the cops would be called...which until youve touched the food you arnt in the wrong...especially if they blantly are, instead we waited and are having the food we paid for cold and inedible at home.(The nachos were so bad, they were suppose to have nothing on them besides cheese and meat...had everything all soggy floppy chips) and wasn't edible at home (my friend is a cop and i asked and like i said we did nothing wrong) I've loved this place for years and have always supported it for knowing the people who've worked there since opening...after tonight we will never go back...the past 3 times we've gotten rotten sour cream, wrong orders, and blantly ignored. The owner was the one who was extremely rude which is sad.

The menu is chocked full of goodies. Food uses fresh local items when available. On this night one of the featured drinks was a strawberry rhubarb margarita. Two fresh items in the area. The portions are ample and there is a large variety of items to meet anyone’s taste buds. The brisket jalapeño sandwich with a side of fresh cut. French fries is a nice item. The Carnitas are also very good and the scallop dishes are spectacular. The staff is friendly and provides very good service. Very limited seating to about 36 total. You really need to call for reservations before. They also do pizza which is very good. they also provide takeout and do a pretty robust take away as we noted throughout our dining experience. I understand. They also cater events and this place is worth a stop if you were up in the northern part of Vermont looking for a good meal.

What an outstanding restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Stumbled on this gem while out enjoying the spring sunshine and can't wait to come back. Specials on the menu are truly special, with choices that rival any restaurant in a big city. Had the brie and brioche appetizer (plenty to share) and wanted to lick the plate. Service was at a gentle pace that encouraged you to sit back and enjoy. We were there around 1pm and the place stayed busy with phone calls for reservations that night (highly recommended). This is worth the time it takes to get there.
