Went for the Essex fireworks, the food was outrageously overpriced, the brisket sandwich was tiny and dry even caked with coleslaw. The burnt ends weren't even burnt, it was all fat. Wouldn't recommend this overpriced money grab to my worst enemy. You couldn't pay me to go back and eat their "bbq". Save yourself some money and skip there stand when ever you see them. Festivities should be about having fun, not taking advantage of someone.

We tried the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, fried chicken, smoked sausage & both types of cole slaw. All the food is prepared with care & precision that makes for a truly authentic bbq experience. Friendly service & great food always makes for a wonderful experience. Mark BBQ catered my daughter’s graduation celebration last weekend and all I can say is WOW! Absolutely delicious ribs, pulled pork, chicken wings, cole slaw, bbq beans and mac & cheese! The whole experience was outstanding, pricing was reasonable for this much food, and they were absolutely on the “mark” with every item! In addition, everything was packed so that it was easy to transport, and the process was smooth from start to finish. Darryl answered my endless questions about quantities, recommendations, and options with patience and in a timely manner. Mark BBQ made the day much less stressful and more enjoyable for me, and I cannot recommend them loud enough.

First time here. Had the giant beef rib, which was excellent and superb with a good bark and a good smoke ring. One of these ribs is enough for a person. I'm done eating now but still salivating from that good, clean smoke flavor. I had The hush puppies for my side, and they were phenomenal and I would recommend them heartily. Pleasantly surprised at how good it was here; Vermont is not known for BBQ but Mark BBQ got me my BBQ fix in the middle of winter. Can't wait to go back.

By far the best bbq I’ve had but disappointed as I live almost 3 hours but drove up and visit a nearby town. I drove half an hour out of the way on top of my long drive to grab lunch here and despite it saying it’s open online it’s closed at 1pm on a Saturday.
