Sukho Thai Restaurant

The food was fabulous as always. The mango salad is one of my favs; always fresh and just the perfect amount of dressing. The grabong is always great and the pad gra pow was delicious!

This isn't my first time here, but last night was honestly a really disappointing experience. I ordered the green curry at medium spice, but when it came out it was way spicier than expected. I tried to eat it but after a few bites it was just too much. I asked my server, Fran, if it was possible to get a milder version. She seemed annoyed by the request and said she'd go check. When she came back, she told me they could make a milder plate but that I'd have to pay for it, saying that's what management said. I was shocked. It basically felt like my options were to pay twice or just not eat. I said “it's fine” and was ready to leave it at that and honestly just not come back again. What made this even worse is that we've been loyal Sukhothai customers for over 15 years. When the Markham location opened, we were so happy. I've been here at least 10 times in 2025 alone and have recommended this place to so many people, including just over the holidays. I wasn't looking for a free meal — I just wanted to enjoy my dinner after a long week. When I explained how disappointed I was, Fran brushed it off and said, “It's fine, I'll make another one,” and walked away. That made it pretty clear the earlier “management” explanation wasn't true. She later dropped off the new dish without saying anything and never checked back. By then, I had completely lost my appetite and didn't eat another bite. At the end of the night, a different server brought the bill, apologized, and admitted the situation was handled wrong. I've eaten here for years and have never had service like this. It was really disappointing, especially given how much loyalty we've shown to this restaurant. Sadly, this will probably be our last visit.

So happy Sukhothai expanded out of downtown Toronto to a location more convenient, and although we've ordered take-out from this location many times, it was our first time dining in. We were very happy with the service, the taste and ambience. We will definitely be back!

Food was great! Ordered the spring rolls, red curry and pineapple fried rice. Everything was on point!

Poor service and slow service at this location but food is as expected but some dishes were cold when they should have been warm or hot I don't expect Kiin service but come on at $250 ft or dinner I expect something better It was after several missteps and then missteps again I started just ignoring them I am not driving downtown Toronto anymore as it's just a nightmare so I am looking for outpost locations and this one fit the bill....

Loved the downtown location, so glad there's one in this area too! Was genuinely surprised by the portions!

They have the best pad gra prow beef in GTA. I've tried Koh Lipe, Pai, Koh san road, Isaander, Jatujak.

Awesome meal and the staff were very friendly. Stopped for lunch while on a work trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect portion sizes and was delicious!

Great food and service. Booked reservation for a birthday and everything was ready and didn't have to wait.

Wellington is our go to location but this was an excellent experience and we might become regulars here instead. The food was delicious!!!

Always LOVE going to Sukhothai! Everything is absolutely delicious and service is great!!! We always eat too much and have no room for dessert. Would love to try dessert one of these days!

Best traditional Thai food! We love Thai food and have been to numerous Thai restaurants locally in Vermont/Essex Junction and in other parts of the country. Sukho Thai is the best and most authentic!! Highly recommend!

Cooking hood/ ventilation not working. Smoky and fritters were little soggy. Spring rolls were good . Oil seemed little old . Usually we love this place. Will go back once more to give them another chance.

The service and aesthetic of the restaurant were great. I enjoyed the food but found the downtown locations (Wellington and Front) to have spicier and more flavourful dishes. The chicken wings were ordered were decent but not as good as the ones we had at Khao San Road in Toronto. Overall I would go back if in the area, otherwise I would make the drive to the Toronto locations.

Never had a meal here that wasn't delicious and the service is always fantastic! Great food and great prices. Truly one of the best spots in the area!
