I travel 3 hours to visit. Best food!!! ❤❤❤
Great customer service and staff. The butter milk pancakes are my favorite. But I will say if you don’t like traditional “buttermilk” soft style pancakes these are not for you. Me and my husband go every Friday morning and have never had a bad experience or bad food.
With Covid going on right now the staff and cooks are very overwhelmed give them a break and be nice!

The Firebird Cafe is a popular spot known for its delicious breakfast and brunch offerings. The menu features a mix of fresh, made-to-order dishes and classic American fare, with a fusion of Latin and American cuisines. The restaurant has a cool, unique vibe with its vibrant decor, including a large hummingbird wall feature. Despite facing some challenges, the staff remains patient and professional, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
Recent reviews praise the tasty food, including the Surprime Burrito, chorizo eggs Benedict, and a standard breakfast combo with a flavorful, well-done bacon. Customers also enjoyed the huevos rancheros 'Christmas' style, with both green tomatillo and red chipotle sauce, as well as the Blackstone Benedict featuring a poblano cream sauce. The harvest sandwich and the apple chutney have also been highlighted as exceptional. The restaurant serves great coffee, freshly roasted just down the block at their sister shop, Nest, and offers free refills for dine-in customers.
Despite a few minor issues, such as cold home fries and a missing water refill, the overall dining experience is described as enjoyable, with a festive and comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant is located at Five Corners Essex Junction and is definitely worth the short drive from Burlington.
