12/12/25 Appears at least temporarily closed. Drove two hours to try the burgers. Supposed to be open on Friday for lunch until 2. Arrived 1:30 and they were closed with no one in sight. Tried calling in advance to confirm hours but they have no phone! Ratings not based on anything other than our disappointment at going all that way for nothing. They could at the very least have updated the web site.

Love this place in all it's iterations! So grateful to have it in Fairlee. Friendly service, excellent food, not cheap but more accessible than some of the other restaurants around. The food is incredible so it feels like a good value. Great cocktails too!

Best burger, best cocktails, best vibes and the hardest working staff in the biz. Honestly, this place is way too high concept and too good for the location. If you don’t get it, don’t leave a stupid review. These people work super hard and I don’t want their business to suffer just because some idiot left a one-star review because they’re butthurt about not getting a res. Haha what the hell is that?! Just go to McDonalds if speedy fast food service/thawed frozen inedible food is what you’re expecting. This place isn’t for you.

I'm a little bias because the place that was here before had like the best sandwiches in the area and suddenly someone bought the place out from under neath them, it was sad but the food here is also really good, the fried chicken is my favorite 😁. Staff kinda just sat around talking to one another even though there was an order that needed to be bussed right in front of them. Service is kinda slow but that's understandable and it will probably get better over winter. Very cozy vibes none the less. Will definitely be coming back ☺

First, a heads-up: it’s reservation-only — and totally worth planning ahead.
I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten — perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor. You can tell they put real care and creativity into their menu, even though it’s limited. The fries? Absolutely unforgettable — crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right.
And then… the crème brûlée. WOW. It was smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced, with raspberries baked right into it — an absolute dream. Truly unforgettable.
The atmosphere was another highlight — calm, relaxed, and inviting. It has that perfect “class meets Vermont” vibe: you can sip a crafted cocktail, enjoy fine dining flavors, and still feel completely comfortable showing up in flip-flops and shorts. There’s no pretension here, just amazing energy, incredible food, and a space where you can truly savor the experience.
We’ll definitely be back!

Went out for a family dinner and every dish was so good!! Dinner was topped off with a delicious Creme brûlée. Highly recommend this little piece of food paradise.
The food was wonderful but I wish they had the Nashville hot chicken... Make sure you have a reservation they were able to fit us in on a Thursday night.. we will be back..

Drive 19 miles, table for one turned away because I didn't have a reservation... They were short handed, which isn't a guest fault. I was certainly made to feel as if it were my responsibility. Please come back another time I was told....I probably not come back. Pretty sure the gent who met me at the entrance didn't like the American Flag on my cap, if ya know what I mean... I wasn't trying to squeak in a party 6

First of all, I travel a lot and have pretty high standards for food - eaten at a handful of Michelin rated restaurants and usually reference La Liste for my choices but there were none listed in Fairlee, VT. This was such a cool and unexpected experience visiting friends. George, Nara and Matt were awesome. The outside is simple and nice but the inside transforms into a fresh vibe/atmosphere and the service is amazing. The drinks were excellent and the food was unreal. This is a hidden gem in a small town you may not think to visit but should take an extra 20 minutes to visit.

Do I miss the old place? Yes. Do I love the new place? Yes—it’s called “Broken Hearts” for a reason.
The renovations and revamped menu are tasteful and elegant. We had the steak frites with the best fries in VT as abundant as ever and a perfectly cooked local strip steak. The broccolini aux lardons were a spot-on rendering of a classic. Service is warm and efficient. Hill Farmstead is on tap. Haven’t dug into the finely tuned cocktails yet.
Rumor has it the bar will be accommodating walk-ins soon…
