Nestled in downtown White River Junction, Vermont, the Filling Station is a local institution that as of 2025 is now under new ownership. Always a community spot, it has now become even more open and welcoming, and boast a new, ever-changing menu with everything from corn dogs to Belgian meatballs. Very friendly service, with the owners also working in the kitchen, behind the bar, and out on the floor, and they have kept well-known bartender Bobby on from the bar's previous era.
Prices are extremely reasonable, portions are filling, and quality is high for everything. The Filling Station has retained its iconic wood paneling and now boasts works from many of the town's artist population.

I was pleasantly surprised when joining some friends for a drink in here the other night, after growing up in Hartford and never having set foot inside. The bartender was very attentive & pleasant, a small group were playing pool, and the interior cozy. We enjoyed our time there
