The food was good yet pricy; staff was attentive; steps & walkway were very icy nearly causing a serious fall, owner was rude when told about the icy conditions.
We were visiting from Rhode Island and had planned to eat at Simon Pearce but they were all booked up. So we walked across the parking area to the Parker House restaurant. We were a party of two without a reservation, showing up around dinnertime. All of their tables were already reserved too but they managed to squeeze us in at a small table in the bar area. We ended up having a wonderful evening! The cocktails, service, and food were all amazing. I think we spent at least three hours there - at one point our server kindly told us "the table's yours for the night so don't rush". After dinner we weren't sure what drink we wanted and the bartender (Adam) came over to us personally to have us try a drink before we ordered; once we gave him feedback he immediately went back to the bar and brought us just what we wanted. Next time we're in town we won't even try to go to Simon Pearce - we'll just go back to Parker House!
Always a fun time at the Parker House. Great food and drinks, wonderful staff and cozy rooms. Our favorite place to stay in the area.
The food was excellent — hats off to the chef/kitchen. My husband thought the salmon was the best he'd EVER had. Flavorful, cooked correctly, delicious.
Beautiful inn with amazing views of the ottoquechee river and the BEST food around. Not to mention the wicked cool bartender and his wife who is the chef. Always amazing food, drinks, and company.
Just wrapped up a wonderful three-night midweek stay at the Parker House. It had been a couple of years since my last visit, and owners Adam and Alex have made some thoughful improvements since. My room was bright and comfortable, with robust air conditioning and wifi, and lots of places to unwind.
Awesome food!! Good people!
Food was good, wait staff very helpful and friendly.
Awesome place and wonderful Food!
You have to be expecting a NON resort/quaint Vermont Inn to fully get into it. I stayed in the 3rd floor cozy Owls Nest which was perfect. Yes, you have to climb up a lot of stairs but it's totally worth it. Just don't crawl up and onto the porch like thing over the window like I did - it's NOT meant to sit on and the front of the fence flies open - I admit I was curious but kids should not attempt. Loved the quaint room, amenities, AC and breakfast was to DIE for - not kidding - the best pancake (creme brûlée is part of it) of all time. Overall, a perfect stay with gracious hosting by Adam. Bed is a tad hard for my taste but minor gripe

AMAZING FOOD!! I was very pleased when I sat down to eat. The music is very welcoming and the scenery is too. My favorite food was the Bacon Burger! If you wanna have a family dinner, date night or something else, COME HEAR!
Delicious elevated comfort food served in a classic Vermont inn setting. Cocktails are made well and to order.
In my humble opinion, The Parker House is simply the most special Inn in Vermont. Adam's hospitality is second to none. He is a magic man of music, drinks, outstanding food, with a wonderfully attentive and unassuming staff. The location is stunningly beautiful. The Inn is decorated in charming inviting colors and textures that enchant. This is an Inn not to be missed for a quintessential Vermont visit.
Amazing service and food!
Really lovely inn with comfortable, cozy rooms with a nice view of the river. What made it really stand out was the exceptional service we received. The breakfast was a nice selection of eggs, fruit, bacon and a pancake. Very disappointed we didn't have time to stay for dinner, it looked amazing. Highly recommend.
