Food was delicious!! 10/10. Dined in on a Saturday night, it wasn’t too busy and I appreciated the quietness and the lighting is chef’s kiss. However, the service was seriously lacking idk if it was just our server and they were new, totally could be the case, but they need more training. They didn’t have many answers to basic questions, a few different times they stood there smiling/laughing saying “I don’t know” instead of offering to ask someone else (the kitchen or a manager ?). I literally had to ask THEM to ask someone else multiple times. Kind of strange imo.

Frankly, we drive by it a lot on our way to and from Burlington and the other night after watching "Downton Abbey" and a "Public House" it hit us that this was what "pub" came from. We immediately made reservations for the next night and headed off.The food was excellent--- the appetizers were priced well and came with enough to warrant a meal in of itself. I option for the vegetarian entree' and it was flavorful, varied and creative. The beer selection was on par with other restaurants in the area.We skipped dessert as it was late, but we'll definitely return. Parking is not in front of the Public House but to the south in a lot below the main building along the road. It's well lit as is the walkway to the front door.

Would of gave it five stars, but thought that the lighting was a bit dark which made it hard to read the menu, but everything else was superb.

We haven’t eaten at the public house for a while and had friends visiting from out of town and so we went for dinner. We love the atmosphere, and it’s not too far from our home. However, we will probably never go back. My husband and our friend ordered ribeye steaks to be done medium rare. Both steaks came out as tough as shoe leather and our friend couldn’t even navigate his way to finish his dinner. I ordered a roast beef sandwich from the days specials and requested that there be no onions on the sandwich. My food came out full of cooked onions. I tried picking them off because i didn’t want to send the meal back since the other three people were already eating, but it was almost impossible to clear my meal of onions . I ate the meat off the sandwich and left the rest. I told the waitress, and she just shrugged her shoulders. This was a very pricey meal for very little enjoyment

We had an enjoyable experience at the Public House with a group of 8, ranging in age from 10-72, so very diverse food interests. We were seated in a private area,(wise decision for our boisterous crew). While service was somewhat slow, due to staff shortage, our server was exceptional. The appetizers were very good as were the main dishes. Prices were a tad high, but not outrageous.Note to consider:The rest rooms made a truck stop looks good. Their condition a black eye for a lovely destination.

We were excited to finally check out Hinesburg Public House. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an overall great experience. We thought it might be busy on a Saturday night but got there at 5:50 pm and were surprised to find there were only 4 tables sat. 2 of them were just about finished their meals. We opted to sit on the deck. Our water was brought over quickly along with being asked about drinks. It took almost 15 minutes to be able to place our order. We ordered 2 burgers and a fried chicken sandwich. It shouldn’t have taken long, but it was 50-55 minutes until we were served our food. Since we were sitting outside, we could see exactly when new patrons arrived which was well after we had ordered our food. We have little kids as well so having to wait this long for simple sandwiches when there were barely any tables filled in the restaurant is a little ridiculous. The food was hot but not really worth it given the time it took to arrive along with the price. The server was nice and friendly but the food just took way too long. Very disappointing and we likely will not be returning.

Rare burger is actually rare. The chorizo taco starter is very good(and spicy). Spicy garbanzo wrap is very good however no noticeable spice (chorizo starter is more spicy). French fries are like McDonald’s but three times thicker, amazing french fries. Only complaint is could use a tiny bit more flavor, salt at the table would probably be sufficient though.Vegetarian options: The spicy garbanzo wrap is very goodKid-friendliness: Kid friendly items on menuParking: Very ample parkingWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessibleDietary restrictions: They have items to meet peoples dietary restrictions

My best friend and I were looking for a night of fine dining, and they exceeded our expectations. We had a delicious surf and turf meal, mushroom and Brussels sprout appetizer, and exquisite cocktails. Our servers, Evan and Myia, were attentive and provided us with the best customer service we have had in a long time. Even though we were high maintenance, all of our needs were met and surpassed. They enthusiastically adhered to our requests, going above and beyond to ensure that our experience at the Hinesburg Public House was unforgettable. I will be recommending this restaurant to my friends, and I hope to dine here again in the near future.

My best friend and I had the loveliest experience of not only top notch food and drinks, but also unforgettable hospitality that made us feel like we were the most important people in the house. We left feeling like we were family with our commendable servers Myia and Evan. We will definitely be dining here next time we’re together.Myia, even though she is a new member of the team, knew the ins and outs of the menu and gave us drink and food recommendations tailored to our taste. The surf and turf entree and the specialty cocktails were divine.
