Cucina di Gerardo is a hidden gem in Island Pond, serving great authentic Italian food. The owner takes pride in the food and provides entertaining service, even serving guests early when the wait staff are not yet in. Meals are bursting with flavor, with standout dishes including the Mediterranean salad, which is packed with toppings, super fresh, and delicious. The gnocchi with tomato sauce and the chicken marsala are also highly recommended, both made to order with large portions. The pizza is among the best, perfect for a pizza snob, though it is expensive for the portion size. Starters like Caesar salad and bruschetta are also large and made fresh. While the outside of the restaurant is deceptive and far from impressive, the food is some of the finest Italian food in ages. It is a true dining experience, considered the best spot in Island Pond. Perfect for those passing through or staying in the area, though the trip from nearby towns is well worth it.
