Had a great two-night stay here! The rooms are perfectly adequate and the restaurant is a great atmosphere.

Ask for Shea, you can't miss the red hair and beard!Took my old lady there on date night and he was fantastic. Not overly talkative but very friendly and took all our requests with a smile and quickly got what we needed. He would keep an eye out for us to look over and say hey we need something extra or hey can we get more bread And boxes!Good job on the service we will come back cuz of him.The food was OK

Jay Village Inn helps make Jay Peak resort more tolerable, as the ski mountain gets more gentrified or more resort-like. After visiting multiple seasons, JVI provides constant quality of service, friendliness, value, and straight-up coolness! Convenient location at the bottom of the mtn, and next to another nice business, The Jay Country Store. The food and drinks are fantastic. The place is ideal for what Vermont dining should be like... no hassle, great service (no problem with individual checks for a large party), northeast comfort food, nothing over the top, but not at all boring. Lodging is charming but not for everyone. If you require newer, cookie-cutter, chain-like accommodations that typically offer rewards, points, or whatever... I can understand this might not be the place for you. For most who are veterans of extended Vermont ski weekends, this place is nothing short of spectacular.

Local guy here. Find myself stopping in for something to eat and a beer. Two changes I have noted tasteless frozen french fries. The boneless chicken wings and the chicken tenders have a terrible breading on them that makes them tasteless and hard to eat. I think they used to hand cut the fries. The chicken tenders used to be very tasty and tender. They need to look at going back to the way they used to do it.

The restaraunt was a great place for our group, they were able to give us a reservation later in the evening with a great selection of food and drink!

We really wanted to enjoy this restaurant based on the reviews. 2 of 3 BBQ dinners were inedible.

This is not a luxury inn but a homey, dorm kinda atmosphere. It does a good job doing what it does. Rooms basic, clean. Food was good. Comfortable.

We came here for dinner after skiing at Jay. The food was excellent and huge portions. I got the bbq platter and had leftovers for 2 meals afterwards! My husband got the duck risotto and my goodness, it was some of the best risotto we’ve ever had. I couldn’t stop myself from stealing bites of it. Really tender duck, super flavourful rice. The asparagus was incredibly tender as well. Menu prices were high ish, but not as high as the resort restaurants. Only minus was their coke syrup seemed to be running out but the server was happy to replace with another pop instead.

We ate at the restaurant after skiing; omg! Absolutely delicious! I got a burger with smoked Cabot cheese, gluten free but no bun, side salad instead of fries and kimchi; it was absolutely phenomenal!! Delicious, juicy burger, and one of the most delicious side salads ever. .. my husband got the steak and cheese with sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms and he said it was amazing and the French fries were divine! We were last here in 2020, we absolutely love it!Nearby activities: Jay PeakFood & drinks: Gluten free optionsHard cider

Ordered a pizza to share, chicken tenders, and the kid's pasta. The pizza was not actually cooked - the dough inside the crust was oozing and it was still stretching (again, undercooked dough). The cheese was piled on so thick it looked like oilly soup in the middle. No one touched it, not even the little kids. Chicken tenders and fries were fine. The bowl of pasta was enormous (kind of a waste for a kid...). Our waitress noticed that we didn't eat the pizza and offered to take it off the bill (which I can apprecaite, but we certainly weren't going to order something else). Honestly, I don't know how anyone would let that leave the kitchen let alone be set down on the table. After that, it still took over 20 minutes to get the bill handled (enough for some of us to explore the huge Vermont Country Store across the street, purchase gifts, and come back). I have eaten here 2 times before without issue, but after this, we can't go back. It was also strange that at 7 pm on a Friday night, the dining room side was almost empty. Only 2 other tables showed up while we were there. I wonder if things are just going downhill?

The female bartender was extremely rude. Refused to make a mocktail for a partner of someone who is sober. Absolutely disgusting behavior and dangerous. If she were smart, mocktails cost the same as a cocktail but are way cheaper for the restaurant to make (bec no alcohol, duh). So clearly she isn’t the smartest, either.

My boyfriend and I stayed at a ski in/out air bnb at Jay Peak. As Valentine’s Day was quickly approaching, we started looking into restaurants to eat at. We attempted to call several restaurants Jay Peak provided, however, we could never reach anyone to speak to. As someone who likes to look at reviews and see photos of dishes, most of the Jay Peak restaurants had poor reviews stating it was over priced for the quality of food.Jay Village Inn & Restaurant was recommended to us by family who had previously dined there. They did suggest to make reservations because it’s super busy.My boyfriend and I attempted to call the day of to make a reservation but we had no luck. When we got there the place was packed! Luckily we were able to get seated in the bar.Service was awesome! Thank you Corey! I ordered a margarita that was the size of my head. Really delicious. And my bf ordered an old fashioned.I walked into the restaurant craving a burger. However, on their specials, they had a 48oz tomahawk steak that we ended up splitting. As an appetizer we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops. As a seafood lover, these were the most delicious scallops I’ve eaten. I wish I took a picture. They were beautifully plated.I’ve never had a tomahawk before but it didn’t disappoint. The tomahawk tasted as good as it looked. Please see the picture. Our steak was cooked to the perfect temp.JVI portion sizes are large. You will not leave hungry! We took the PB and chocolate cake to go. Also highly recommend their desserts. I can’t say enough good things about this place.Dinner time is extremely busy so make a reservation. We got super lucky to be seated because there was a no show. The day we left Jay, we stopped at JVI for lunch and we got burgers. Also did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection and exactly how we wanted it. See the pic.Kitchen staff is phenomenal. If we go to Jay Peak again, this will be our go to spot every time.

Went here for dinner only. Got seated quickly. Ordered our food and it came fast. The fish sandwich was great, clearly frozen fish but tasted good. Unfortunately, the fries were inedible. Way too salty, like drinking the ocean salty, like you want to kill a snail salty, like there may not be any more salt in the kitchen salty. When I commented to my server she said "oh, they're too heavily seasoned? Sometimes that happens" end of story. Didn't offer to have new ones made that are actually edible. Sad. Won't come back.
