Got the General Tso chicken last night and it was awful. The chicken was hard, hardly any sauce on it. The pork fried rice wasn't very good either. It was rice, pork, some onions but not much in it. That's my favorite dish for Chinese and I won't eat there again. Most of it went in the garbage.

For the longest time I did not know this place had gluten free options! They use chestnut flour instead of wheat in several of their dishes. Just be sure to mention no wheat or gluten free so they can avoid adding things like soy sauce which might have wheat

Dietary restrictions: Several gluten free dishes thanks to their use of chestnut flour

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp in the front of the building

We were up in VT for a week and stopped in here based on some other reviews. The food was excellent! Its a small place more geared to takeout but does have several tables. We ate in since we had a 25min drive home. Food was cooked fresh and i can honestly say it was some of the best “takeout” ive had. Place is also clean as a whistle. Would highly recommend.

Decent food, nice employee.
I had Shanghai noodles. It was pretty good, although a little strong on the curry. The woman who took my order said it had curry, so I should have expected it. Also, it would have been nice if the meal was served in a real bowl.

Not to happy about driving from derby to morrisville seeing wok n roll closed so we said let's go to Johnson they used to be good not sure when it changed but the C9 rice had no taste it's so yellow with little pork pieces nothing else bland chicken fingers weren't anything to write home about. C17 I asked for extra general taos Sauce and didn't barely get any at all most of the chicken was dry but but it was so spicy not chili peppers like it used to be but pepper flakes if thats how u spice something up give them on the side maybe why did every Chinese restaurant stop making general Tao without little chili peppers and broccoli definitely will wake for wok n roll to be open from now on derby has no good Chinese restaurants I believe there's 2 and both horrible

A fantastic Chinese spot! I enjoy a guilty pleasure Chinese meal every once in a while but this really exceeded my expectations. Food was hot, delicious, and huge portions, the staff was very friendly and it was reasonably priced.6/5, wildly exceeded expectations!

I have absolutely no complaints about Johnson’s Chinese Kitchen. The food is really nice and the service is great! This past summer, during a bad thunderstorm, we didn’t know where we could pick up dinner, so we called in for pick-up and the food was ready super fast. When I came in to get my order, the lady behind the counter was so nice and friendly, despite the terrible weather outside, that I couldn’t help but smile myself! This local family-run American Chinese restaurant deserves all the love and support it can get. It’s a great spot that we will continue to come back to whenever we are back in Vermont and craving some Chinese food!

I decided to stop by and get food from this restaurant on Sunday I didn’t have time to post a review early, I had Beef with broccoli the beef was moist and soft and delicious! Nothing different with the broccoli there was alot of flavor in the sauces. My daughter had the general tso chicken, the chicken was in her favor and there was a good quantity of food for less than $30 I would recommend this place to others! Over all a great experience
