We went here on a Saturday evening and were seated at the bar immediately as the entire place was pretty much packed around 5.30. The service was a little bit slow as I could tell they were a bit short staffed. The food was good, but the portion sizes seem a bit on the smaller side for the price. The only complaint that I have is that the wings just didn't feel fresh. I definitely recommend trying the place !

Service was SLOW. We came just after 7pm on a Saturday. It was slightly busy, but also appears there were only a couple people working. Our server was nice, however.

Food options are definitely an interesting mix of Italian, Mexican and Caribbean. Our appetizer of chips and salsa took much longer than it should have to make it to the table.

Drinks took awhile to make it to the table, including the complementary water.

Overall, unimpressed with this place. Timeliness of getting a table, to getting our order taken, to getting anything on table took way too long and definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Sure wish MS was back in Waterbury - but I'm willing to make the drive! The food is that good!

Friendly staff but nearly $100 for a modest dinner is excessive. The brown chicken was a bit weird and sweet. Husband got the special - it was good but found out it was $30 when the bill came! A $30 plate cannot be mostly rice and beans. Again, staff were attentive and friendly but it doesn’t balance out the cost for what you get.

Family style. That’s what you get at Marsala’s. You come in curious and leave as family. Jan, the owner, is doing incredible things creating unity with different cultures and tastes through her fusion dishes. The food speaks for itself, and don’t be afraid of the spice! If you’re like me and want that kick of the Caribbean, ask for Jan to spice up any plate. They have daily specials that are always in rotation. From unique fusion dishes you can find only at Marsala’s, to some of the best mixed drinks you can get, you literally can’t go wrong here. Did I mention you can get a Red Stripe too? The national beer of Jamaica. Don’t hesitate. Just go and enjoy. Bless up to Jan and all the staff there who feel like an extension of your own family. They do it right.

Soooo for a restaurant in Johnson VT i was pleasantly surprised. Service was cheerful and good. Restaurant was bright and clean. Food was above average especially for this little town. We tried the dahl soup and the chicken curry and chicken tandoori. Both are simple cream dishes with vegetables however the spices were well portioned being not mild or to spicy. Presentation was nice too. The naan bread was a little doughy but good. With the amount of sauce in the dishes i would provide more naan or office as side dish with different flavors. Overall B+

What a hidden gem! You wouldn't expect to find this kind of meal in Johnson, VT. Our Caribbean dishes were very flavorful. The meal was light and didn't leave you feeling heavy & uncomfortable. For dessert - our raspberry chocolate mousse was yummy - my only complaint - the chocolate square topping tasted like something made in Pennsylvania. Vermont chocolate would have a better choice. :-)

Had a great time having dinner with my partner! Excellent menu options and specials. The environment was clean, easy going, diverse, and accepting. I have a quite a few allergies and they did everything they could to accommodate us. Looking forward to trying more on their menu, and treating ourselves to a Chimichanga, Johnson Mule and Coconut Flan again 😋

Shout out to Ethan, Hazen, and Etta!
