First of all they make fantastic flan!!! The vibe and atmosphere of the place is inviting while also allowing folks some space if they choose. I absolutely love the folks serving and pouring the drinks! Great food and wonderful drinks!

Sorry that it took me so long to FINALLY eat here!! It was beyond my memory of dining at Marsala Salsa way back when it was in Waterbury. The food was/is superb....right down to the freshly ground coffee. Thank you for all the love you put in each dish....I will be back.Vegetarian options: Jan/chef /owner will accommodate your preferences if possibleParking: I went early so there was street parking in front of restaurant.

Hardly seems possible but when our boys were 10, 7 and 4 who are now 35, 32 and 29 they would fall asleep on their parkas next to the safe by our favorite table at Marsala Salsa in Waterbury. Our favorite Brown Chicken, Poppers and Jerk Chicken are just as tastefully now in Johnson 25 years later, and our love for Jan (who never ages) is as large as her wonderful smile! Hopefully, we will be able to bring our future grandchildren! Oh, and the flan, my favorite is a bit of heaven! Love you Jan, Rand and Juli Larson

Food has been amazing both times we have been. We live an hour away and plan on stopping by for dinner anytime we are in the area. Quality of food is wonderful and atmosphere is nice. We had a wonderful conversation with the owner and can't wait to come back.

Been wanting to try this place since I saw an article announcing its opening. Finally was nearby today and stopped by after skiing. The owner is very friendly. The service was excellent, very prompt to each and every need. The menu is diverse, some selections from many different cuisines. As someone who needs to avoid many foods, I was very happy with the amount of vegetarian and gluten free items available. The house made salsa is delicious, the chips are served warmed. The Dahl comes with homemade bread on the side, which I gave to my husband to sop up the extra sauce from his lasagna. He tried their dessert special, apple pie chimichangas, and loved them. The restaurant is beautiful yet simply decorated. They just need more people to come by! Bring your friends and family!

Marsala Salsa was always the most special restaurant that my family loved going to in Waterbury. Its reopening in Johnson years later is truly a dream come true. The success can clearly be attributed to Jan, the chef and expert business owner who is passionate about creating a variety of authentic dishes using only the freshest ingredients. Additionally, the kind staff members, warm atmosphere, and key lime pie have me counting down the days until I get to go again!

The best (and only) restaurant in downtown Johnson. Ambiance is friendly, waitstaff courteous, nice open seating plan w wood interior. Great bar and drink menu.. Wide range of food offerings -- from Mexican and Caribbean to Italian -- all surprisingly well prepared. On busy nights, prepare for a long wait for your dinner.

I was told they had multiple options and not just Mexican food but I think they only have Mexican food, when I looked at the menu. If you like Mexican food then this is the place for you.
