Our dinners were excellent. Two of us had the short ribs. Delicious and fork tender. Good desserts. Jeff our server was excellent.

Main course food was underwhelming for the price. We had a variety of items from the menu. Two standouts were the harrisa carrot and Brussels sprouts appetizers. All other food was mediocre or not good. The mushroom tartine was almost inedible due to the amount of garlic. That said, Drinks were very good, and service was excellent. So...do with this what you will!

Lovely place. Wanted to love it Food was just okay and not worth the high price. $30 cheese board was just okay. My meal was served cold. I sent it back and it came back soggy and extremely hot. Low on flavor - just oily tortellini. Setting lovely - just wanted a better meal for the price!

The Copper Grouse never disappoints at the Taconic Kimpton. The food is always excellent, and there are good vegetarian options for my husband. This time we went for lunch on New Year's Eve and were relieved that the restaurant wasn't mobbed like the rest of Manchester. The sweetest surprise was that there was a wedding at the Taconic, and it was lovely to share in that joy before going in for dinner. We'll be back!

Prices were steep and portions were small. The $14 bowl of butternut squash soup was lovely, but only contained a few mouthfuls. Meanwhile the french fries overflowed the serving plate and couldn't be finished by two people. The Veggie ciabatta was modest, mostly bread, with a small dash of leftover arugula, a scrape of hummus and some avocado slices. Nothing to justify the $18 price. The service was slow. The place was busy, though.

Server was lovely and attentive. Lamb special and Hamburger were delicious. Two people in my party ordered the braised chicken. Although the flavor and seasonings were good, the actual chicken piece (thigh and leg) were ridiculously small for a price of $36. There was very little meat to be eaten. Harissa carrots were tasty but overpriced for the size of the portion.

The food was good, but I absolutely had to share this photo of the $29 Vermont cheese plate. Hahaha it was absolutely laughable.

Worst place I’ve eaten. I am not a picky person but I was not able to finish my risotto. Three others in my family also ordered it and left it to the side as well did I, I instead stuck to my salad! Another family member ordered the pork chop and was it raw! We sent it back and got it again RAW! Burgers weren’t cooked at the right temperature we asked for, we would ask for medium well and got fully well done. And it would be the opposite if we asked for well done we got medium rare. The server was lovely! She did her best trying to accommodate us to the issues we had! Overall would never go back. It was overly expensive for food we did not enjoy.

Was a bit disappointed in the food. Presentation was great, but had some odd flavor I didn't like. Fiancé complained that his burger was very thin as well.

Ambiance and service was great. However the fat in the NY Strip needed to be rendered off before serving. Hunks of fat in it. Plus never cut the steak in half before serving. More Parmesan cheese on Caesar salad otherwise fabulous!!!

The male host who worked on Nov 29 night shift was very condescending and unprofessional. He tried to turn us away at first sight saying no tables available. We arrived at 6:21. After i asked what the waiting time would be he said not until 7:45. I pointed out the first availability on online would be 7:30. He started to find hilarious excuses like people tend to sit longer. If the appointment system is not accurate then the owner is suggested to work on it. And then since we have a dog with us, the host said “dogs are not allowed in restaurants”. Not sure if he was trained to be passive aggressive with customers or he just like to assume customers are not aware of that and all dogs are just pets. Not recommended and won’t be back.

We went for Thanksgiving, it was not inexpensive. $350.00 for three people. They were missing three items on the prefixed menu! They sat us at a large round table so we were sitting in a weird way, facing out and could not really talk with one another. If we spread out we would be too far apart to talk. Food was obviously sitting under the heater for a while before it came to the table looking pretty soggy and over salted and oily. The presentation was unattractive. Lastly, while we waited, no bread, rolls, nothing! I realize it's the holidays, they're busy etc. but even the sweet waitress couldn't have given a care about anything we liked or made any effort to charm or give us a few minutes of her attention. Sad really, as two years ago in 2023 we went for Thanksgiving to Copper Grouse and it was fabulous, then.

Thanksgiving dinner. Very nice place. Dinner ( Turkey, stuffing, veggies, etc) was kinda dry and served with No Gravy. My desert was a slice of pumpkin pie that was so small it was 2 bites. It was an expensive dinner and food was disappointing. Servers were very nice. Last Year was much better. We won't be going again for Thanksgiving dinner.
