Breakfast at The Swift House Inn

We returned to Middlebury hoping that Jessica's would deliver the same outstanding service and food selections and we were not disappointed. From mussels through the delicious Fall salad & our entrees of scallops and halibut, they nailed it. All items were perfectly prepared and were on par with the finest restaurants. We finished the meal with very tasty warm apple crisp - can anything be more perfect?

very good experience in a house with a long history, we had dinner in the old main building, vey interesting, 3 course Sunday supper was good, outstanding soup, nice crab cakes, apple dessert a bit heavy, nice wine list and staff knowledgable

We had overall, a very enjoyable experience. The Sunday night 3 course meal was creative, delicious and a good value. Service was attentive and friendly but not overbearing. One of the best wine lists in Vermont and one of the few with a sommelier. Restaurant was full this evening, so noise level was a bit high, but that is not their fault. Good job by all.

Great menu for the Fall 2024. This is one of the best restaurants in the Champlain Valley. Service was very good and welcoming. Crème Brulée and Toffee desserts were excellent!!!

Jessica's was wonderful. This was our first visit, but we'll be back. The food was excellent and the service was amazing! The server, Sara, the sommelier, and the owner were knowledgeable, attentive, and entertaining. We are regular visitors to the Burlington/Shelburne/Middlebury environs, and this was an unexpected treat for us!

What a beautiful place to dine and would be the perfect place for that very special something for celebration. Our server, Jay, could not have been more attentive and charming. We had the Heirloom Tomato Toast to start which was a total 'wow" and paired quite well with the Rye cocktail that we had. Sadly our entrees did not 'wow' us. They were good but we've had better elsewhere - I had the Red Snapper and my husband had the Steak Frites - NY Strip which, although was cooked medium rare, was not that tender and more on the chewy side. Our peach crumble with vanilla ice cream was to die for.

Jessica's is superb. It is the high-end restaurant in Middlebury featuring creative dishes, an excellent wine list and professional service all in an elegant, yet comfortable setting.

The setting is very nice. Host is very nice. Wine menu is excellent! Food was very good. Our waitress seemed inexperienced and hard to hear, as she spoke very low and was very nervous. Service seemed speedy and food came out very quickly so we felt rushed, when the atmosphere and price suggest an enjoyable relaxing dinner. We had appetizers, drinks, entre and desserts. For two people the bill was $220 and we were in and out in an hour and 15 minutes. Too fast for a classy restaurant.

Jessica's did not disappoint! Lovely atmosphere, accommodating staff throughout the meal service and wonderful sommelier assisting with wine selections. Food was most excellent. We did not feel rushed at all. Truly a wonderful dining experience.

We love Jessica's. The food and staff are impeccable. Thank you for always creating such a wonderful experience. Props to the five spice Pork Belly appetizer with kimchi- it's tangy, spicy, sweet, unctuous, and mouth meltingly heaven on a plate!

I am a long time resident of Middlebury and Jessica's is my go-to special restaurant where I bring all my guests for an always beautiful outstanding meal drinks and wine! My guests always ask to come to Jessica's when they visit. The food drinks and wine are top quality for me and my guests who have travelled and know food and wine. Awesome experience with the delicate food in our great environment. The chef salads are wonderful as always. we had a delicious arctic char and mouth melting tenderloin. We come back to this place.

Excellent and knowledgable service from the server as well as sommelier. The food was excellent and the wine options, even by the glass, were superb. I literally had just returned from France so was prepared to readjust my palette. However everything was on par or better than some meals I had in the Loire Valley. I dined alone as I was passing through but already am looking when I can return and bring friends/family. Highly recommend!!
