From out of town. Back Again after a few years. We really missed this place. We were here for Eclipse week. Everyone in my group were amazed by the huge charm of the place with small cozy cubbies, small rooms, 1 table corner. So rare. An ICON of Middlebury. Be sure to save room for complimentary chocolate milk from a local farm. (That's great! Who does that?) The best!!. Do not miss this place. You find good food and a fabulous place to eat it.

I went here all the time as a kid, family loved it. Haven't been back in 20+ years. Happy to report that it has maintained the quality, service, and atmosphere. And they still give you Andes mints with your bill! Great to visit, thanks for a wonderful meal.

The food was so amazing and properly priced. Staff/our server Tarpon was amazing as well. Didn't have to talk with my wife as there was so much kitche on the walls. Truly an experience, Tarpon was amazing, will definitely go back again when in the area.

I implored with the owner about the salad bar, and he was adamant that it will never be seen again, and had no interest in my opinion about it (a long time regular customer). Well guess what? I no longer have any interest in this now unremarkable restaurant. The tired lame covid excuse doesn't cut it when the rest of us have long since moved on, and he will never see another penny from me. The removal of the salad bar was a straight up deal breaker. Bye forever.
Really nice restaurant. A gem in the middle of nowhere, just kidding about "nowhere" ?. The food was excellent and the service as well. I ordered a filet mignon, medium, and it was perfect. Pink in the center as it was supposed to be and very juicy. The server came over a number of times to make sure we had all we needed, as well as to ensure that the food was to our liking. Thumbs up!!!

This is fabulous restaurant for every occasion. They allow you specific tables and each table is identified by a name which is unique and special. My wife and I have never had a bad meal or experience at this restaurant. We have always left satisfied and felt like we were treated special by our server and the restaurant staff. We always have the ribeye steak and it’s always on point. You, your partner, or your party will not be sorry when you visit this incredible restaurant.

Food was good, not quite what we expected but worth the trip. Service was intermittent, seated quickly but waitress wasn't there to great us for awhile and was not checking in us until we were done. Atmosphere was nice, although noticed dirty

It is a very excellent place to go for a nice dinner with your wife or girlfriend. You can also take the family. The prime rib used to be the best around but recently hasn't been so great but the service and atmosphere are worth giving it a try. I highly recommend making reservations.Parking: Make sure you go a little earlier in the night because it can be difficult to park later in evening.
