Jessica's Restaurant at the Swift House Inn

This is a dream! Exquisite food, perfect unpretentious service, beautiful atmosphere. I went one evening and went back for 3 lovely experiences throughout my cozy Vermont weekend in Middlebury. Hard to find a place with elegance warmth and Lovely staff these days. I look forward to returning.

Very accommodating with our changes in numbers for our party. Always delicious. Outstanding service and attention. Our go to place for a special meal.

Kevin was very responsive to our concern about arriving at our show in a timely manner. Jay is a fine server who has helped us before, and the sommelier was knowledgeable and pleasant. Always a great pleasure to dine here.

Fine dining with lovely atmosphere yet no pretensions. Service was swift and silent. Wine list is huge and sommelier was friendly and fun and steered us to thoughtfully. Food was great. I had venison special and tuna tartare appetizer Don't recall friend's meal but all were very happy. Not cheap but spent 3 times as much for comparable meal in city.

Top notch dining experience. We live in NYC and the meal was equal to the best we get there.

What a wonderful experience all the way around. Celebrating a birthday amidst the holiday and graduation visitors, we enjoyed an intimate dinner in the corner of a small room. Our server and sommelier were friendly, professional and attentive and we enjoyed meeting Matthew who warmly welcomed us at the door. The patè was exceptional as were both the red snapper and black cod. So nice to find a fine dining experience within an hour from home.

The food is spectacular, the best in the area. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is so cozy. We try to come here whenever we are in Middlebury.

Jessica's is one of the finest restaurants and inns in the region! The hospitality is unmatched. The chef is excellent! The staff treats everyone as family and have a skill to remember preferences. This is a gem of a place!

Enjoyable evening, nice ambiance and wonderful and professional staff. Food was overcooked on several plates, duck ended up a little dry and scallops were burned on one side. Otherwise ver good time

Lovely setting. Food beautifully prepared. Staff is particularily courteous and attentive. Prices are a bit high but worth every penny especially if you are celebrating a special occasion.

Dave and I can not thank you enough for your kindness to us this evening as we celebrated our 55th anniversary. We shared with you our story of marriage 10 days before his deployment to Vietnam in 1970 and how very precious this day is to us, as well as our gratitude that he returned to be able to establish our family and continue to celebrate every year of our lives together. Your generosity is why we only go to dinner at your restaurant, to enjoy not only the best cuisine, but the most caring staff in all of Vermont. We had an amazing experience at Jessica's last night. The food was the best I've had in the 30 years I've been visiting the Middlebury area. Everyone at the table remarked on how flavorful the food was and how lovely it was plated. Jessica's wine list is very extensive with bottles at every price point. I particularly appreciated the last page with selections outside of the usual suspects. We had an excellent bottle of Greek wine, which one doesn't typically find in the US, at a very reasonable price. Finally, the service was impeccable. We were greeted at the door, shown to a quiet table, and waited on by attentive staff the entire evening. I highly recommend an evening at Jessica's!

Lovely atmosphere, very pleasant staff, good drinks, delicious soup and salad, and except for an inferior piece of duck the entrees were very good. Nice dessert too.

We had an amazing dinner for my wife's birthday. The pork belly was to die for. My wife loved the steak frites, while I thoroughly enjoyed the special that night of venison medallions. And trust us, save room for dessert.
