Used to love this place, but recently the service and coffee has gone downhill. Not a coffee house for coffee fans, their coffees are so light they taste more like tea. Lattes are always citrusy, not any interesting selection. Lattes/speciality drinks are weak, all I can taste is the milk, can’t taste any flavor or coffee. To be fair I’m a dark/ medium roast fan and love to taste my coffee. I want expresso, dark and rich in my lattes, not light roast coffee. If you enjoy a little coffee with your cream this might be the place for you. No customizing drinks and the staff is very unhelpful. Not sure what changed, but they can no longer keep up with the local competition.

Coffee is on the slightly lighter side of the roast spectrum. The flash brew was a bit sour and under extracted. Muffin was delicious. Friendly team.

Little Seed is a community staple to Middlebury. The sort of place to casually run into a friend or to plan on having a meeting. The owners are very involved in the community and, like the baristas, are so friendly. And! The hot and iced lattes are the best I’ve had- anywhere.

This place rocks. I came to middlebury to work at the Town hall Theater, and little seed kept our entire company caffeinated for three weeks, with high quality drip, espresso, and specialty drinks. We bought seven hats because their merch is cute and we love them.

So grateful to have such a wonderful coffee shop in our town. I've only ever received great service and wonderful coffee. Sometimes the drinks take a handful of minutes to make but that's because they are not overstaffed, are making everything to order, and are often busy. Quality is worth being patient.

Not only is this shop so cute, but the coffee is always delicious! The salted vanilla and the maple lattes are my favorites. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and really take pride of finding the most delicious coffee beans. I definitely don’t mind waiting a few more minutes for an extra delicious latte!

We moved back to Middlebury right around the same time as little seed opened and I now can’t imagine town without it anymore. Their coffee is phenomenal! The shop layout divided over two levels provides ample space for socializing upstairs and quiet study and work downstairs. Their staff is wonderful! I don’t know how the owners have managed to maintain such a great staff year after year with so many of them graduating and moving on but kudos and thank you to them. Thank you little seed for putting in the effort to not only consistently put out phenomenal coffee but also to become a new pillar of the community! Support small businesses and shop local!

Been here 11 times their coffees fine. Of the last 11 times 3 times ive had to go up and ask them for my order since its taken more then 10 minutes. Last time the manager assured me it was a mistake and wouldn't happen again. It did, so i won't keep supporting them.
