We had a superb lunch on a very wet December day. Great vibe, awesome service, and excellent food. Really good value too! I only live about 30 minutes away and I’m embarrassed it’s taken me 27 years to finally eat here. I’ll be back!

I don't typically leave bad reviews, but this restaurant was notably bad. The brunch was laughable. The chicken and waffles were lego-my- eggo and frozen chicken fingers. My friend asked for toast to be buttered in the kitchen, and of course it came out cold and unbuttered. My other friends who were with us ordered something with a sauce. The sauce that came out on top of it was barbecue sauce. No one in our party was satisfied with their meal. They are a brunch place that does not have expresso... figure that out?

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day brunch here at the Morgan Tavern’s Thanksgiving day buffet. The food was delicious. The atmosphere is great. The service is great as well. There wasn’t a huge selection for food, but it was all very very fresh and all very very delicious. The only thing I would change next time is I would probably take an earlier seating; we took a 2 o’clock seating, and even though the food is very good, the atmosphere had started to thin out by then, and I think they started running out of certain foods. Nonetheless, it was a great experience and would go again.

Very good price point and food choices . All dishes ordered were quite good with larger portions . Servers and service was very good . Ambiance was somewhat damaged by very loud diners at other tables who distracted from the overall quiet and comfortable dinner .

I got there from New Haven ct ,The parking lot was full and I ask the staff for help, she come out and help me out with private parking thanks
Very disappointing experience tonight at the Morgan Tavern. I arrived around 7:45pm and waited to be seated. I was given a menu and a glass of water. At 8pm I had not been visited by a server. I collected my things and left. I walked past a server who had no reaction. There were at least 2, perhaps 3 servers. Indoors, there was only one other table with guests. Outdoors, there were 2 tables with guests. One server walked past me twice to attend to the other table. In contrast, at American Flatbread, from where I am writing this, I was greeted with a smile by a very friendly server. Within minutes, my drink order was taken. It arrived moments later. And only a few moments after that my dinner order was taken. This single server is attending at least 2 other guests. I’ve lived in Midd since 1996. I know the Inn is better than this. When, if, I return to the Morgan Tavern I’ll report back on what I hope will have been your superior service.

Wretched Sunday breakfast. Waited 45 minutes at table after ordering (only 4 other tables occupied with 3 servers on) order was wrong, plates were hot but omelets and home fries were cold, sausage inedibly rubbery and cold, pasty crab cake hit my stomach like concrete. Server was friendly and kept promising food would be “right out”. - not true. Servers spent a lot of time standing behind bar chatting while a steady stream of folks checking out of the Inn paraded by our table with their luggage. Don’t waste your precious time or money here- at least MacDonald’ offers coffee that actually tasts like coffee and their food is what you ordered and hot!

First I must say that our server, Sabrina was probably the best server I’ve ever had in my many years of dining out. My husband and I were sharing an anniversary lunch at Morgan’s Tavern. The atmosphere was friendly and warm-were were accepted immediately even though we did not have reservations. Food was delicious and well-cooked. Did I say the server was EXCELLENT? She was. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the two cocktails my husband ordered were incredibly expensive. Be careful what kind of vodka you order or you could end up paying $20.00 per drink.Dietary restrictions: Soft diet or Vegetarian available.

We had a wonderful short notice overnight at the Middlebury Inn taking dinner and breakfast in the Tavern. Both were excellent.There was a delay in a part of one meal, but our waitress kept us informed and monitored the progress of our meal.We would stay and dine there again.
