I had a breakfast sandwich that was hands down the best I've had. the flavor was great. I was also so happy to see not a regular frozen sausage patty, it was freshly made. I will be back for sure.
I just wish the parking was better. I hate backing out onto the street as people come flying through there.

I am so grateful that Shiretown is in our community. The food is delicious, and the owners and staff are wonderful humans. We always send our visitors there if they are out and about in Middlebury. I also highly recommend their catering menu! And don’t get me started on the creemees-some of the best in VT!!

We LOVE Shiretown. It's our favorite spot for breakfast with our young twins. The people are kind & accommodating, the service is really fast, the drip coffee is high quality, and the food is consistently so good! Their lunch is killer too--some of the best BBQ I've had in VT (and I'm from Texas, so I know good BBQ). We also love their creemees, and they are the only place in town that serves them through the winter! I dream about their candy cane creemee all year.

First time dining here. Great location and ambiance. The staff are very friendly. Wait time is short. Definitely a Middlebury institution.
The portions are very large. Too much food for me and my partner. A short stack of pancakes is 3 huge pancakes. I found the batter less than satisfactory. The eggs were too greasy.
I tend to avoid restaurants with mixed reviews. However, we had heard good things about the place so we gave it a try. We did. We don't need to go back. We prefer other breakfast places in Middlebury.
Overall, keep everything the same, but raise the quality of the food.
I'm sadly giving 2 stars because you can never order online which is very inconvenient for alot of ppl, this needs to be fixed it's the only place in town with this issue.

The best burger I have ever eaten was served to me today at Shiretown Marketplace. Imagine a taste that forces you put the burger aside to just ponder on how something so breathtaking has eluded you for your entire life. I fear this experience has ruined every other burger for me. Excellent, friendly staff and exceptional quality food. I ordered the Turkey Cobb Salad. The lettuce was fresh and crunchy with the perfect ratio of meat, eggs, blue cheese crumbles, avocado and dressing. 10/10 would return when in the area.
