The baked goods were so yummy and the rhubarb strawberry french toast with cream was phenomenal! Everything tastes really fresh and homemade.
People there are always very nice and helpful. Highly recommend and will be going back.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly employees. This place checked every box...
The mushroom brioche was delicious. They dough base is sweet and savory, melts in your mouth.
Why don’t they call it what it is? A college cafeteria! Loud, unorganized and counter service. Website makes it seem like a nice destination cafe, but unless you’re a hungover college student, STAY AWAY!
Whenever I need a little pick me up - I head to Haymaker buns. The staff is friendly, the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is lovely. Thanks for being a bright spot in my day Haymaker!
One of top 3 places in Middlebury to eat. Their food is fantastic, customer service on point, and always a lively, but chill vibe. Daymaker latte is the best!
Such tasty buns!
Awesome place, people are friendly
Dined here for Brunch at 11:30am. Delicious savory buns that made for a nice breakfast sandwich, but it was on the small size and the egg was very well cooked (rubbery). We added bacon, which was delicious itself. We waited a long time for the breakfast sandwiches. Probably 25+ minutes. This spot is very popular with college students. Seating is difficult to find. We ended up finding a spot upstairs, which was a tough climb for an 87 old. Clear your own table at the end. The locale does not appear to be handicap accessible, with many stairs at the entrance and and a quite crowded "order and seat yourself" system. Perhaps midweek would be less chaotic. It's open for breakfast and light lunch to 2pm. Go early as menu items sell out. We will try another time.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible to my knowledge. 87 year old had trouble navigating front steps and another flight of steps to the only available table for 2 on the second floor.

Love haymaker! Best place in Middlebury for a sit-down lunch or to grab a coffee and a bun and work for an hour or have a meeting. There’s a legit kids’ menu for picky eaters as well!
Kid-friendliness: Great kids’ menu!
