Omakase at the Tavern

What an authentic, flavourful and chill spot. The food is real, like you just stepped off a plane and headed to the streets of Bangkok. The staff is super friendly and honest. A must while in the area.

An absolute gem - the food is fantastic and the team is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We've come as a couple and with a large group ahead of our wedding. The dining room is gorgeous, bar is very cozy with a great bourbon selection. Sunday sushi nights can't be missed! Cannot recommend this place enough.

This place is an absolute gem. Every single thing we have tried has been world class quality. The atmosphere is great, and the service is fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. The bar is well stocked with fantastic variety. I could go on and on, but bottom line: I would never pass up an opportunity to stop in, whether for something quick like a drink or a full meal with friends and family. We will continue to plan our Jay trips around the days they are open. No where else in the area comes close.

After waiting for four hours I got yelled racist remarks and was somehow told I was gay. For a place that is never open it was very disappointing. Also their dogs bit my hand and I got food poisoning. Pooping all day.

The owner also started to make a pass at my 11 year old daughter and her friends. Definitely a diddler.

Best restaurant in town. Great food, atmosphere, service and drinks. If you bring your kids grab them one of the mini ring toss games from the corner.

It was soooo great. The wait was worth it and everything tasted amazing and our server was the best.

They were having a rough night when I was there. Overbooked and overwhelmed.

Wasn’t seated until 15 minutes after my reservation. Didn’t get service for another 15 after that. Server was a bit of a space cadet but she did ok.

App was cold. Salad was amazing. Entree was good but not great.

I expect they are normally much better, but that’s not really the point.

Don’t pass on this amazing food and experience

Truly obsessed with it here. I never write reviews, but see previous sentence. Fantastic hospitality, cozy and fun. Our server Amber was attentive, helpful and just all around awesome.
And then there’s the food! Dee-lish! Inventive! Fresh and flavorful. We had the Chinese fries and I’m going to need to figure out how I can possibly make these at home bc they’re the best fries I’ve ever had.
We also had the ramen, yum, salmon, yum, and pork katsu, yum! Can’t wait to go back!

Food was amazing as always. Such a great variety. Drinks were spot on. Our waitress was rude, not very attentive, and really just seemed annoyed. I have gone multiple times, and would go back again, but would ask for a different server if I got her again.

What a cute restaurant!!! We attended on sushi night. Dragon roll was the best. They were slammed busy and while we had to wait a little extra for our sushi, we didn’t mind at all. Appetizers came out quickly. The ceviche nachos was just amazing tuna nachos. They have games to play while you wait (connect four, tic tac toe, etc). Our waitress was super polite and always had a smile even though she was running around all night.

Had dinner here on a recent visit to Jay Peak resort. Made reservations & was seated quickly upon arrival. The place is cozy, with a very lively & vibrant atmosphere.
Wait staff was good (ran their asses of). We had miso soup, vegetable tempura & poke bowls (tuna & a veggie bowl). Food was fresh, tasty & plentiful.
I would return & recommend to eat here.

First time coming to Omakase and let me tell you the food is delicious.. the nacho tuna was the best tuna I ever had. The pork katsudon was amazing also. If I ever come back to Vermont I will definitely be coming back!!

Amazing food and excellent atmosphere! We love the Chinese Fries - but all of the food is truly exceptional.
