Omakase at the Tavern

This place is an absolute gem. Every single thing we have tried has been world class quality. The atmosphere is great, and the service is fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. The bar is well stocked with fantastic variety. I could go on and on, but bottom line: I would never pass up an opportunity to stop in, whether for something quick like a drink or a full meal with friends and family. We will continue to plan our Jay trips around the days they are open. No where else in the area comes close.

Had dinner here on a recent visit to Jay Peak resort. Made reservations & was seated quickly upon arrival. The place is cozy, with a very lively & vibrant atmosphere.
Wait staff was good (ran their asses of). We had miso soup, vegetable tempura & poke bowls (tuna & a veggie bowl). Food was fresh, tasty & plentiful.
I would return & recommend to eat here.

First time coming to Omakase and let me tell you the food is delicious.. the nacho tuna was the best tuna I ever had. The pork katsudon was amazing also. If I ever come back to Vermont I will definitely be coming back!!

Amazing food and excellent atmosphere! We love the Chinese Fries - but all of the food is truly exceptional.

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The food was nothing short of spectacular, with each dish meticulously crafted and beautifully presented. The bang bang shrimp, pork gyoza, and tuna volcano were all highlights, each bursting with flavor. The salmon poke bowl was fresh and vibrant, while the pork katsudon was a unique and satisfying choice. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced our dining experience. It's evident that both the waitstaff and kitchen crew take pride in their work, as every aspect of our visit was met with enthusiasm and care. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience and I can't wait to return!

Impressive restaurant, incredible Ramen special with broth to rival the best ramen shops of NYC. The Penang coconut curry was good but the reason for the lost star. The curry itself was good, however, I chose to add chicken as it gave as an option on the menu and it seemed grilled separately and dry.

Holy smokes I was not expecting the food to be what it was. Amazing. Everything that came out of the kitchen was flavorful and fresh and simply delicious. Our service was A+ and great martini. 10/10 would recommend

Private dining experience in my home for my 50th birthday was outstanding. Our Chef for the evening was Tate. The event was fun, relaxed and in short, impressive. Omakase sushi, bao buns, curry and fried rice paired with Saki was an evening to remember.I highly recommend you give this a try.

We had Omakase IN MY KITCHEN! A wonderful private dining experience for my 50th birthday. The food was outstanding and the evening was fun and relaxed. Sushi, curry, bao buns, all made in front of us while we chatted with our chef of the evening, TATE!! I cannot say enough about the food. We will certainly do this again, no question.
