Stopped in for dinner while at Jay. Had the muscles, they were definitely out of this world. Delicious! Had the chicken Alfredo as a main course, it was definitely more scampi looking, tasting and even tasted more like shrimp than chicken , but it too was good. Waitress was friendly, place is super small so make sure you make a reservation.

They had a baked cod special on Nov 22, 2025, and, let me tell you, this was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Swear to God (throwing up the the big G for respect). Amazing. Great food out in the middle of nowhere, save a prominent ski hill, but you know… good stuff.

We went here for an evening out with family (table of 6) on Labor day weekend 2025 and we were all very disappointed with our experience. All started well. We were seated promptly and drinks and app was all brought out quickly. From there it went downhill. We waited another hour (and I do mean duration after ordering) for our dinner to arrive. We watched as other tables, seated after us were served, finished, and checked out 20+ minutes before we saw our dinner. The restaurant was not overly busy and our order was not overly complicated (entree salads, a burger, and kids pasta). Once it was finally brought out, everything was as ordered and the food was good. That said, there was no reason provided for the extremely slow service and very little compensation provided for the extraordinarily slow service. Given this, I could not recommend this spot unless improvements are made to ensure this type of experience is never repeated.

Whether heading up the mountain or down, the Belfry has always been the place to stop for the best food and drinks around. Matt throws it down in the kitchen, and serves up a mean plate of ribs. The secret is out so reservations are highly recommended. Certainly a gem of Jay.

My mother and two children thought the food was excellent. However I ordered a hamburger medium and it came out rare. Our waitress never came by for refills or to check on us until it was time to pay the bill. We received 1/2 off my PARTIALLY eaten, very red hamburger. My burger was so rare I lost my appetite and didn't touch the fries either. They gave us 1/2 off MY meal... Not a good avenue if you want repeat customers!

I understand you have to protect your business but the waitress knew I was over 21. I just forgot my ID at the hotel. I even offered a photo of my ID. Im 37 and I'm bald and covered in tattoos for crying out loud. The couple next to me didnt get carded and they looked younger than me. It was just unfortunate that I got the waitress that was probably picked on in school. Wont be back that's for sure.
