Came here for breakfast— this is a great little restaurant with delicious food. The staff are so nice and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!! The patio is now open which is so nice to sit in. Definitely recommend.

The food was amazing, as always. We had juicy pork belly skewers and a light and airy potted truffle for dessert. We had a really lovely date! Thanks Kismet

The food was delicious. NY Sirloin Strip to die for with great sauce. Polenta was perfectly cooked. Staff was attentive, knowlegeable, and polite.

Just delightful. Creative and surprising small plates, perfect focused menu, one of the best steaks we’ve had in ages. Great cocktails and a couple memorable wines. Such a small intimate space but they make the best of it. We really weren’t expecting this but it was a meal we’ll remember for a long time!

Food was good.Service was not.Be advised that you will be sitting at very cramped place right next to strangers. Very uncomfortable. Unfortunate surprise was our check. We had both chosen $55 menu. There was 3 entrees,so limited choice. One of us choose steak option and they added $5 up charge. No explanation, no warning. Will not come back.

Kismet is unmatched by any other Montpelier restaurant in terms of ambiance, service, and quality of food and drink offered. It is absolutely worth it to book a reservation here and come hungry. I've been to plenty of places like Kismet but usually leave without being full which was far from the scenario encountered here. The portions were large, even for the small plates, and you definitely have a pick across a variety of foods and cuisines.

Fantastic. Intimate atmosphere with amazing food. The radicchio Caesar was non traditional and very lemony, the acid paired fantastically with the bitter (red) greens. The smoked feta was just as balanced, with sweet smoke pairing well with the salty cheese and tart cranberries. The polenta bites were an excellent contrast in texture, crispy but not tough on the outside and creamy inside. They were subtly spiced, without a building heat. The beef/fennel carpaccio was excellent as well, the fennel was shaved thin enough to be an excellent but not overwhelming contrast to the beef and capers. The agnolotti were toothsome and silky smooth. The mushroom filling was not overwhelming, it provided a fine balance between the pasta, and sauce. The chefs do a great job! Fantastic, unobtrusive service, as well. This is the best place in Vermont, knocks Hen of the Woods and those other bougie joints on their butts.

Dined here October 7 and had a great experience. The owner was at the front/host stand and let us know that our table was still occupied (restaurant is TINY), and that we could enjoy drinks/appetizers on their patio outside. We received complimentary polenta bites for the wait and shortly were brought over to the table. Our main course was the seared beef and roasted swordfish, and the dessert (which was amazing) was the chocolate truffel. Everything that we ate seemed like the freshest, high quality ingredients, and were all prepared excellently with a touch of "home" to it.Our server was also attentive and friendly. So to sum up, we loved the food, service, and extremely intimate ambience. 5/5!

Cozy little restaurant with one bathroom that is almost always occupied, attentive servers, and damn good brunch with unique items and plenty of vegetarian options. Would return.

Went here for brunch and was very disappointed. We had the huevos rancheros and the carpaccio benedict. The huevos rancheros were so flavorless and watery that I barely finished a quarter of the plate. Soggy fried polenta, bland salsa and mediocre eggs (don't even get me started on including beets with huevos rancheros). The carpaccio benedict was a little better but the plating was a total mess and the hollandaise was also watery and bland. The espresso martini was so sweet it was basically undrinkable. The coffee was pretty good though, so at least there's that. Maybe we just caught them on an off day but with a total bill of 80 dollars for brunch I was hoping for much better.

Stopped by when driving down from Stowe to Boston. 100% will be coming back. The food was delightful, service friendly. The set of spices they use and sauses they make really sets the food apart.

Great atmosphere outside early evening. Good cocktails and alcohol-free concoctions. Short dinner menu excellently executed with great ingredients and delightful presentation. Service was OK. Owner/hostess is a welcoming, delightful relaxed person.
